Current mood:  peaceful

Merry Christmas to everyone! Hope you all had a good 2006. thought i would take a little time this christmas eve to share some of my 2006 since i don't do too much blogging. ( the christmas miracle is that i'm writing :)

-Biggest news of the year. Moved

Moved to the Bay area finally got a place of our own after being on the go from place to place since 2002. I live in bay point / west pittsburg which is in the east bay just east of concord. unpacking has been crazy. so much stuff it's hard to find a spot for everything. i thought this would be it for storage but it looks like some stuff will have to stay boxed for the time being. It is nice to finally display some of my star wars collection.

- E3, video games, the tragedy of the ps3, and the triumph of the wii.

If you look at my page or blog you most likely read some of my review of e3 so i won't go into that. it was cool that we got to go now that it seems e3 is dead. they will be scaling it back big time. no more circus like setups :/ only small setups in hotel rooms.

I did most of my gaming this year on the psp. star wars lego 2, virtua tennis, metal gear acid 2, liberty city stories. For the ps2 my favorites this year were bully and final fantasy 12 which took a long time to grow on me, but now I'm commited to finishing.

I spent 36 in hours in line for the ps3. we scored the last 4 spots in line. The wait it self wasn't that bad at all. It was joel, chris, steve, and myself. we had people drop by all the time to bring us food, clothes, and a tent. The line was pretty relaxed to some of the lines across the nation.

The system i really wanted was the wii yet i couldn't get anyone to stay in line with me overnight so missed out on launch day. 2 weeks later though i was able to score one just by showing up 30 mins before my local target opened. the 23 out of 24 :)  So far i've only rented a few games. zelda, elebits, and exite truck. all were very cool and used the wiimote in fun ways. It came with wii sports which jade and I play all the time. even breezy has played the wii and for those that know her she does not play videogames.

- Worked at Anglins Second Hand Eureka, CA

This year i worked in a second hand store. It was a very intresting experience that i glad to be able to get. I had never worked for a mom and pop type store before and it was cool to see how business was done on that level. I did just about everything around the store. setup, display, driving the store truck for pick ups. Being the only non family not to work there it was great to get to know all the regular customers of the shop and hear storys. I met a good friend in jennifer. had i done this earlier in the year i would of remembered some of the good quotes. "what?" :)

-Music, TV, and movies in 2006

I discovered The office this year and I am a huge fan now. I don't get into tv shows really but i follow the office big time now. picked up both seasons on dvd and downloaded almost every episode so far in season 3.

Music wise I started off the year with seu jorge and the life aquatic sessions. even though it came out last year still listened to alot of gorillaz. Nelly Furtado, radio stuff like jayz, and gwen. pharell kind of disapointed with his solo album.

I would have to say my movie of the year was little miss sunshine. borat was good. not my favorite m night movie but lady in the water was still good. without a doubt the worst movie i payed to see was ultraviolet. i never walk out on movies and i wanted too even though i didn't.

-Broncos, Mandalorian 2nd hand, and snowboarding

At the moment my broncos look good to make the playoffs after a up and down season. let's hope we get some rookie magic with cutler in the playoffs like the steelers had with rothlisberger a few years back.

Posted a pretty poor year in the NFL fantasy league that counts with a 4-10 record. I will be ready to live draft next year.

Had a good time snowboading this past year with joel and dusty back in march. hopefully i will get a chance to go again this year now that i'm only a few hours away from the sierra.

Well that's what i have to share. hope all is well with you. have a good holiday and a great 2007.

Kevin: Why did you get it so big?
Michael: A, that's what she said, and B, I wanted it to be impressive. The biggest day of the year deserves the biggest tree of the year.
Kevin: But what are we gonna do with this hacked-off part?
Michael: Well, that is a perfectly good mini-tree, Kevin. And we are going to sell that to charity. That's what Christmas is all about. :)

ps if you read this leave me and comment! :)
