QUESTIONS TO DISCUSS:
What is Moving Saginaw Forward all about?
What are our goals?
How will we generate interest and support for our organization in the community?
What kinds of things do we want to do besides the political campaign?

It's important to emphasize that at this point we have no mission statement, bylaws or any kind firm definition as to what this organization is or is not. When it was started it was launched with the idea of it genuinely being a grass-roots movement of the people to bring about positive change in the community and get people active.

Post some responses, either to this blog or message them to us and we can also discuss this at the first meeting.

It will be very important to get a mission statement soon! Perhaps we can start by determining what needs to be improved, where to start and funding ideas. I am interested as in what the goals are for this political society.

I agree with the above statement, and sent a message to you with similar sentiment.  A mission statement is important, however to accomplish the goal at hand, I think it would be important to keep this movement bipartisan.  That is the biggest problem with government on both a local and national level....politicians are so concerned with keeping to their parties values that a lot of things that could be and should be done are not.
