We're done with the tracking, with the exception of a field recording bit we're doing.  Last week we had a wonderful day in which we did a trumpet and violin session.  Michael Leonhart did the trumpet work.  He's been working with Steely Dan for years and graced three of my tracks with the most glorious, sweetest trumpet tone I could imagine.  Gene Back did the violin work.  I'd seen him work with Chris Cubeta and the Liars Club at a Rockwood Music Hall show and he was gracious enough to come in a beautify a track.  At this point, we'll do the field recording and then mix in mid October after a few weeks break. Warm up those ears.
