As i dig deeper into the Laromlab (the person who ripped off Crazy Q, Dubmood, DMA-SC, Goto80, Random, Aleksi Eeben and me) saga I am uncovering some really hilarious connections and events. SURREAL.

Seems that a lot of  Laromlab’s ’fame’ in the American scene has come about due to my chiptune-cover of the old Daft Punk classic "Around the World"
which he stole from me.

It seems he passed it on to the well famous, hi profile, celebrity Los Angeles clubdiscjockey, DJ AM (Adam Goldstein, ex-member of the band Crazy Town [remember that "Butterfly" song?], and ex-boyfriend of Nicole Richie and Mandy Moore, no less), who then plays it in his DJ sets regularly...It seems even the equally famous MSTRKRFT were there to hear it one night. See this video here.  It made me strangely satisfied to see that a cool well regarded DJ was spinning a track I made and the whole floor was going bonkerz!

So a lot of buzz grows around Laromlab due to this, and he announces a
plan to tour the United States Of America and release an album on Mushpot Records with his awesome stolen muuuzick. Independent music journalists who post on blogs start picking up on this, and start hyping him up...and promoting his tour..until he got sooooo big , that his big secret got found out.

Well.........,

In fact I actually found out last December (through Anewuser) that he stole my "Around the World" cover. I told him to take all trace of it down immediately , before I went public with the news. Which explains why the blogs
which initally publicised these stolen covers suddenly took them down without explaining, and Laromlab, made it look (in later press releases) as if Daft Punk were the ones who asked him to take it down, when it was actually me ! Despicable.

Then a few days ago, it was found that his album on Mushpot Records was comprised entirely of stolen tracks from the YM Rockerz (Atari demoscene group and one of my influences).

So the lesson is, when it comes to outright plagiarism, don’t give anyone a second chance.

Also, i really feel sorry for Mushpot Records. I am about to start a record label of my own, and if I ever found out one of my artists was a thief I would kill him. With my bare hands. Seriously.
