In every passing moment, we as the human race are on a journey. Bracing for impact of the unknown at every twist and turn on the road of life. Some days you may be doing 80 on a straight stretch, the next day your at 35 dodging potholes. Its nice to (trying not to sound so cliche) stop and smell the roses from time to time. Those are the moments of focus and for planning your next move.

The next move for Special D is to not be Special D anymore.Why? I'll answer that later but lets back up a bit...
 
I'm sure that if you have tried to search Special D via a search engine you did not find us in the top of the results. You probably found a German DJ, among many others.

That being said we've wanted to make this move for a while.After much prayer, discussion with wise council and COUNTLESS in band convos. Special D will be changing our name to Hearts Of Saints. We feel confident about this change and want to reassure our fans that the name is the only thing that is changing. Same lineup, same sound.

As far as the origin of the new name, it comes from Philemon 1:7 (NKJ)  there will be a blog explaining that soon...


Hearts of Saints will be on tour this summer at a festival near you. We are also working on a full length cd that should be out -hopefully- May or June. We will OFFICIALLY BECOME HEARTS OF SAINTS AND LAUNCH A NEW WEBSITE ON FEB 20 SO STAY TUNED.


Special D will play our last shows in an acoustic setting with our friend Lee Steffen. You are invited, It will surely be a great couple of shows.

I'm really excited for you guys! I see some big things happening for you this year. Rock the Universe!!! Wish I could be there. That is an incredible line up. We WILL be seeing you at Rock the Coast in May and Unity Music Fest in Aug. though.


Now you need to have a new Street Team contest so Jenn can get a new t-shirt.
(just kidding we can actually buy one this time when we see you in May)

We are writing and will release a new album in the late spring BUT the music/sound is the same. Maybe a bit more mature but still the same band you've known. We are definitely becoming more intent in what we do.

I love the new name and i hope it goes well. you deserve it because you guys rock! God Bless your journey with the new name but i am personally glad you arent changing your sound because i love your sound and why you do your music. i hope you continue on this path because we all know God has big plans for such a willing and faithful group.
