Current mood: contemplative
I am a book addict. I can't walk into a bookstore, browse, and leave without buying anything No, instead I always buy one, two...or *cough* five novels at a time. What's so sad is that I have a stack of books beside my nightstand, and a bookcase stuffed full of unread novels. Combined, I have so many books to read that I couldn't get through them all this year if I tried, and that's if I read a book a day from now to Dec. 31st. Despite the fact my office is starting to resemble a used bookstore, I keep on buying new books. I browse Amazon and scour RT magazine and make my list, and inevitably, I find myself in the parking lot of Barnes & Noble. When I walk through those polished double doors, the endorphins kick in and I hear angels singing. It's all I can do not to skip through the aisles, I'm so happy to be there, ready to spend my hard-earned cash. So this month I've made a pledge to not make my monthly trek to B&N, and instead make a dent in my existing TBR pile (at least the one piled next to the nightstand). I can do it--at least until next month. Richelle Mead's BLOOD PROMISE is coming out on August 25th and I'm getting my copy !
