The rank of talented female blues guitar slingers is happily growing, as fans of Laurie Morvan can attest. A gifted singer-songwriter and a fleet guitarist who rarely overplays, this Long Beach-based dynamo heads a spunky, no-nonsense band. Together, they ably perform such fetching Morvan originals as the country-rock tinged "Kickin' Down Doors" and the sizzling "Where Are the Girls With Guitars?"
