Tri-Valley, California CVB Announces Tourism Partner Program

—Complimentary web listings for Tri-Valley tourism businesses—

PLEASANTON, CA – June 2, 2009 – The Tri-Valley, California Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) www.trivalleycvb.com, a sales and marketing organization dedicated to promoting a five-city region in San Francisco’s East Bay, today announced a restructure to their membership model to a new benefit-driven Tourism Partner Program — designed to address the challenges that the travel and tourism industry faces today.

Effective July 1, 2009, the new model offers a customized fee structure that is driven by the membership benefits that individual businesses receive.  And for the first time, the Tri-Valley, California CVB introduced a complimentary basic website listing for all tourism-related businesses in the Tri-Valley. This will allow the CVB website, www.trivalleycvb.com, to be a comprehensive resource for individual travelers, families, group travel planners, meeting, event, and sport planners, and anyone who has interest in visiting the Tri-Valley.

The Tri-Valley, California CVB’s purpose is to stimulate economic growth and tourism in the Tri-Valley region by developing and marketing the destination to meetings and leisure travel markets.  With this, any business or organization that supports the purpose of the Tri-Valley, California CVB is eligible to enroll in the Tourism Partner Program.

“The tough economy calls for revisiting business models and developing a new perspective on customer requirements,” said Amy Blaschka, President & CEO, Tri-Valley, California Convention & Visitors Bureau. “We don’t believe a ‘one-size-fits-all’ model is beneficial to businesses in this economy, so it is with this in mind that we’ve developed a benefits-based model, which includes for the first time, a ‘free’ level of participation. Complimentary web listings will be a welcome addition to constrained sales and marketing budgets while also serving to strengthen our organization’s ability to be a more comprehensive and accurate resource for visitors.”
