In "Left Behind", there are a lot of metaphors of Corey attempting to explain what is happening to him. The basis of the song is that a dear friend of Corey was never actually there. The person was always trying to be someone else, and never said what they wanted to, did what they wanted to, etc. Because of this, Corey cannot deal with it and is ending their relationship. He is extremely depressed and is not too stable of himself and is giving the statement that if the person tries to get close to him again, that he will take drastic actions. "I think it is about a guy who has seen his friend change but he hasn't changed with him. His friend got into drugs and became addicted. The more he got into drugs the more he left his friend behind. He left the guy for the people that they use to be against. Finally he could not take it any more and he seeks revenge."
