Lach here writing to you from NYC. As I look through a window of planets and stars I can see reflected the distant city lights of England.
In just over two days I will be flying over to perform only two shows in the UK. Oct 8th at the 12 Bar in London and Oct.9 at Mother's Ruin in Bristol. For those of you lucky enough to be living in one of the only two UK cities I will be playing in, I salute you and urge you to start saving up your bus, tube or taxi fare money now! For the rest of my brilliant friends and fans who don't actually live in either city may I whisper into your cybernetic ear two words filled with mystery and adventure? Yes? OK, here they are... road trip!
That's right think Jack Kerouac, think Hunter Thompson, hell, think Mad Max but think crazy good times, blog-worthy ecstasy, twitterly delicious bacchanalia! When ya look back on 2009 let Oct.8th and 9th stand out as something more than the same ol' thing. Get out of your house, your flat, your mind and come on out to the shows!
Some of you have asked why only two shows? Well, I will be spending the rest of my time in the UK in Cornwall hunkered down in the studio with Neil Halstead (of Slowdive and Mojave 3 fame) creating tracks for my next album! The Bristol and London shows are psych-ups to get that road energy on before recording so I am truly looking for complete madness from you lovely people to carry into the sessions with me and to squeeze out onto 1/4 recording tapes!
