Yes. Automotive in that Kristina and I returned from our short recording trip deep in the backwoods of Tennessee a few days ago. I'm lovin' Nashville these days. Although KM and I spent most of the time driving from our hotel room to the studio (we grew quite fond of our hotel room which we liked to call "The Cat Piss Palace") , we still got a little taste of what's going on with the music scene down there. Talk about immersion! There's a ton of talent down there, on the song writing end especially.

There seems to be a few stars lining up Kristina con Vita with Nashville. What sent us whirring through the air down to TN in the first place was the GoGirls Songwriting Contest. How strangely magical too, that our friend and great engineer/producer Paul Umbach just took a leap a few months ago and moved down there. He's building a great studio in his basement that's going to sound like heaven. We stayed at his place for a night: walked around a bit, listened to a little music, and did some creative brainstorming as the moon grew bigger.

One of the big highlights of our trip was the live radio interview that we did in Dyersburg, TN on Eagle 97.3!! It was a great experience to interview and play a song completely live and on the air. I imagine that's what it was like back in Patsy's days. ;-)

So, we're headed back down to Nashville,TN on January 11th for our callback audition for Can You Duet/CMT. If all goes well and they want us for the show, who knows what the Tennesse music spirits will be conjuring for us in the near future.
