Please support “Protect the Children”

I’m the founder and advocate for “Protect the Children” especially within the paranormal community.. My mission and goal is to educate and bring awareness to parents and children alike of the dangers lurking within the unknown and unseen world of the paranormal.. Being an extreme haunted survivor myself, I know of the physical and mental force that dark spirits and entities can put on a grown adult, much less a child.. The paranormal is not a game and only those trained adults who have life experiences and of strong body, mine and soul should attempt investigations to unearth the unknown.. Children are way too open, inexperienced, too weak to protect themselves and acceptable to attachments.. All spirits, good and bad are drew to the energy and light children display, so it’s bad enough when spirits come looking for them, people don’t need to set them up as bait during investigations.. If you have a child who has a healthy interest in the paranormal my strong suggestion to you as an adult and parent is to encourage and teach them the behind the scenes goings on of paranormal investigations.. Research, History, Evidence Reviews.. When children are in their teens, teach them the correct way to use and take care of equipment. What's it used for, how to use it, what not to do.. By the time your child is a young adult and has the training behind them they will be amazing investigators instead of just paranormal bait.. (Let me put it this way.. If you asked most 10-11-12 year olds if they wanted to drive the car, I would say over half would say yes and argue that they were better drivers than you are.. They have seen how it’s done on TV and on video games so of course they know what they are doing. Right? Well, we all have an idea what the end result would be there.. But give then some years to grow, mature, training and when it’s time for them to get behind the wheel their chances of survival are 100 times better.. Same with investigating the paranormal..) Let’s not forget the gifted children that show to have psychic ability’s and able to see, fell, hear spirits among us.. They more than anyone need to stay away from investigations.. Just because they have this gift does not mean they know how to use it, control it and most important close it off when they need to.. These gifted children more than most need to be protected, mentored and trained by a gifted adult that understands that this gift if not harnessed and mastered could turn into a nightmare.. In the world we live in today it hard enough.. Please let your children be children as long as they can, love them, protect them, teach them, let them grow.. There is plenty of time for them to learn about death and what may be waiting for them out there within the unknown world of the paranormal.. Please help me in Supporting “Protect the Children”  If we don't who will? All the best to you and yours..

I really agree with you, some adults that are selfish with only wanting a quick display of paranornal activities and not caring for others around them,children-really push my buttons the wrong way x

I totally agree. I grew up with my gift and I know how hard it is. I also have gifted children and would not dare let them be a part of an investigation. It terriifes me to think that some adults do not think that paranormal investigations are serious. Then when they drag something negative home they wonder why???Thank you for showing compasson in this field!!

Douglas,

I completely agree with your statements written in your blog. I cannot say that I have a gift of any kind, but due to a LOT of weird occurances including out-of-control dreams and hair-raising experiences that's happened to me over the last couple of years, I can definitely say that I have been experiencing something very paranormal whether it be unearthly or humanistic like, telepathy or what not, someone or something is trying to get my attention. Whoever and whatever it is isn't harming me, but rather communicating with me in hopes I will understand a message.

However, I agree with you when you say that children should not be subjected to the paranormal field without proper training into their adult life. Children aren't mentally prepared to handle the realisms of the paranormal especially if they're physically touched or knocked down by a dark spirit; from what I hear of that is the experience is far too emotional for one human being because the spirit actually passes through the body as if it is transparent. I can't begin to understand why spirits remain on earth, but I for sure know now that people who have had the experience of feeling an entity say they get a sense of the dark spirit's past and their emotions. It's just fascinating to me, so I give anyone a two thumbs waaaaaay up for their bravery in messin' around with the paranormal.

Thanks, Douglas. Take care, dear.

With much love and respect,

Sheila

As responsible adults and parents we need to boycott shows like that and campaign to the networks and sponsors that the shows are misleading and dangerous...

I totally agree with you on this subject.  I am a tarot card reader, and I have been a stickler on no children present when I am reading cards for the very reasons you state above.  I grew up in a family of psychics and tarot card readers and as long as I can remember, I always heard that the little ones are closer to the other side and could easier become a target.  I believed in this then and I believe it now.  Too many people take the "unknown" as a game and don't realize the consequences of what could happen.  Thanks for taking the time to do a blog on this subject and enlightening folks.  Educate yourself first and experience only after you have an understanding and a plan for recovery should you take on something greater than yourself.

I so agree with you.  Children have no place dealing with the paranormal.  I think you are so right about this!

I absolutly agree with you when it comes to children and the paranormal. They are more vulnerable to the attraction of the unknown.

I had never heard of people using children for bait. You've written a fantastic awareness letter Douglas. I remember when I was a young girl, we'd play light as a feather, did seances and the ouji board at sleepovers!!  Fortunately we were never hurt  at least we weren't aware that anything was conjured up - I hope not! Thank you for sharing your mission.

Excellent points!  I have a relative that doesn't think about what her "investigations" do to her four year old son.  She doesn't listen to me since I am not a parent but maybe she'll pay attention to your Protect the Children.

Those who would put their children into harm's way, should watch this:

A Haunting "Ghost Hunter" 1 of 5

A Haunting "Ghost Hunter" 2 of 5

A Haunting "Ghost Hunter" 3 of 5

A Haunting "Ghost Hunter" 4 of 5

A Haunting "Ghost Hunter" 5 of 5

Long story short:  the teenage boy went ghost hunting to a graveyard with his mom & ended up needing an exorcism a few months later.  True story, per the DISCOVERY CHANNEL.

I agree 100% as from as far back as I can recall have been gifted or had the ability of being sensitive in several areas.  Not exactly understanding these abilities as a teen used them as party tricks and with a couple friends of family members.  Not knowing, having the understanding or ability of being able to control or protect myself one afternoon ended up putting myself in the hospital.  This was a little over 40 years ago and have long since learned with help and guidance of others and keep myself safe.  Children have no business in any paranormal investigation.  Though true there are many gifted children out there who have an interest and ability they should be encouraged and instructed to take life slowly one small step at a time while learning and always with supervision by someone capable of protecting them and never in any investigation.  They need to understand that it isn't a toy or a party trick as I had to learn some years ago but can be like a loaded gun in the hands of a toddler.
