I agree completely. It worked. I didn't expect it to work. I expected it to be a rather pointless orgy of violence (thanks a lot, misleading trailer) or simply to fall flat because QT was dealing with something he didn't understand. I've never been on the anti-QT bandwagon, but I half expected to climb aboard with this movie. That didn't happen. It ended up working, and I was impressed.
