Current mood:  thankful

Hey everyone,

The Assembly is very thankful and fortunate to be one of the artists to be chosen for the Local 101 Volume 3 cd. It's been over ten long years since Q101.1 has released a "local music" CD, and we couldn't be happier to have contributed not only to the cd, but to a great cause!

A portion of the proceeds from the disc will benefit Chicago HOPES (Heightening Opportunity and Potential for Educational Success), an initiative of the Chicago Public Schools Homeless Education Program.

The cd is available at all Chicagoland Borders locations, so swing through and pick up a copy today! I bought one this afternoon, and there is a pretty killer display right by the checkout line!

The song we contributed is called "With Me Tonight," which has always been a crowd favorite live song, but one we could never seem to place on our albums.  It is a fun, quirky number which we can only describe as "Rock-tronic-ska."  We are happy it found a home on this cd as a Local 101 exclusive track.

As for the other bands on the cd, I am proud to say I have played shows with Local H, The Lifeline, Inept, American Taxi (via Lucky Boys Confusion), and of course, my old bandmate from Caviar, Jason Batchko, is drumming in Holding Mercury.

Thanks again to Chris, Jaime, Ashley, and everyone at Local 101!!

-Dave
