Remember when artists used to do songs with hooks. I mean, of course, them singing it themselves. And they had 2 or 3 features.

Deeper Than Rap… 14 songs… I heard each and every song twice.

The only song with Ross on the hook alone, is #14 “In Cold Blood”.

On song #12 “Face ft. Trina”, Ross and Trina on the hook.

Only 3 songs without features on the entire album. If you get the bonus 15th song on (iTunes)…#15 Cigar music It has a feature and Ross not on the hook.

My question, if he sold more than anyone or everyone…., Would he be considered, one of the best???

I remember when hip hop artists used to do their own hooks. I remember when hip hop artists actually cared about the words they released into the air. The only explanation I can think of is that hip hop isn't popular any more..."rap" is. It's easy to be a "rapper." Just come up with an image and convince people that you're cool...oh yeah, and rhyme about something that usually amounts to nothing. In my eyes, an artist's album sales are no implication of how talented they are...those credits go to their marketing department. The only way an artist gets respect from me is if their words can move people. Most of the time all I hear is acoustic space being filled, with no mental sustinence being given. As far as this album is concerned, I haven't heard it so I can't judge. But I haven't heard anything positive or inspiring from him since I first saw / heard his music, so I only expect more of the same emptiness I've heard thus far. To more directly answer your question...NO.
