Howdy Folks, here's a list of bands that have sent in their promo paks.
JOSE' DIAZ - FINAL THOUGHTS - 11 songs - Progressive Metal - From my local Victoria, Texas, my long time friend amazes us with his newest effort.  With his  previous release, he wanted to show he had a softer side.  With FINAL THOUGHTS,  he combines the two and adds psychedelic to the mix.  Stand out tunes for me are January Soul and Mind's Meat.
Another stand out feature is the cover.   Back in the 60/70's we used to buy albums (those flat black pizza looking things with the grooves played by using a speck of a diamond)  just for the cover art.  This cover is definetly a positive feature.  www.legasyssongs.com
A SOUP CALLED STEW – NUMBER 2 – 18 songs - Comedy/Punk/Rock - This Baton Rouge, La. Group features Andy Ventuto – gutair/vox, David Loti – guitar/vox, Eddie Manes – drums, and will Heflin – bass/vox. To say this is the most interesting cd I've received would be an understatement. It starts out with some great riffs from these very talent musicains. Then comes the vocals. Man, all I can say, is get this cd. My favorite is "Penguins". It starts out education, and then it gets silly.
Not only have they won Battle of the Bands, but have open for major acts, and play at their local Library for the kids.  www.asoupcalledstew.com
HEAVY WATER EXPERIMENTS - self titled - 12 songs that will groove you!  The name has been changed from IMOGENE, but David Melby can't step away from the sound that has taken him across the globe.  This is his best offering yet.  Place this cd in your stereo, pour yourself into an easy chair, close your eyes, and prepare for a majic carpet ride and erase the day away!
My favorite song?  GOLDENTHROAT, if I have to pick one.   I also dig the cd covers; Vintage pics of swirling odd forms that depict the music within.  www.heavywaterexperiments.com
S HATTERED HOPE - 2 song demo includes - ENLIGHTEN THE DARKNESS OF MY SOUL and SHADOWS FROM THE PAST . The demo has been getting excellent reviews by the media, including GREEK METAL HAMMER. Honing their skills on covers by the likes of MY DYING BRIDE and PARIDISE LOST, to name a couple, this 6 piece band set their sites on the Death/Doom style. This Greek band features Nick (vocals), George (drums), Vasils (bass), Saks (guitar), Eygenia (keys), and Thanos (guitar). www.shatteredhope.gr
WARATTAH - DISTORTION - 4 song ep - In your face Metal. Complex, clean and well driven! The 4 French artist making up WARATTAH are Khris ( guitar/vocals), Cyril (bass), Xav (drums), and Denis (guitar). This release has earned them "Demo of the Month" in Rock Hard Magazine, and have appeared in many other magazines including Gutiarist Magazine. The ep includes a video for "FITS OF RAGE", which has been aired in Belguim; and a documentary on the band in Canada. You can bet I'll be listening to them alot on my mp3! Contact them at www.warattah.fr

RICHARD DODSON - "I am a Soldier" - single demo - Here's a great Metal guitar driven patriotic tune!  Back in the "80's, after my band BOIS D' ARK split up,  I teamed up with talented guitarist Richard, in his band BLOND ICE, as vocalist.  We recorded a few tunes that never saw the light of day.  Today he is a hired axe man for cover bands.  He hopes the response of this single will inspire him to get back to writing and producing new material. Whether you are in the armed forces or a supporter, you need to check this tune out.  rickyralph321@hotmail.com
¨OXYGEN -  02 - Rock - Melissa Brown- vocals; Jack Difiore - Bass; Steve Cochran - guitar; Tony Catania - guitars; David Defis - Keys/backing vocals; Mark Mancinni - Keys; Frank Gilchriest - drums;  and Bobby Rondinelli - drums.  Once again I have to use the word EXCELLENT!  This 4 track EP will leave you hungry for more.  The tracks cover every emotion you can have.  It starts off cool, smooth and mellow.  Thinking that's the vein of their music, BAMM, the stand out track "FIGURE IT OUT"  punches you in the face!  There's some nice blues here too. www.myspace.com/oxygenrox
STORM OF DAMNATION - Tears Catch Fire… - Seattle Warriors Records - Andrew - Vocals/guitar, Alfo - Bass, Drix Lippy - Drums, Elisha - Violin, Damiano Parravanom and Mario Capuani - Piano. 5 tracks. Title track featured on A.O.G. MEDIA PRESENTS: Compilation Volume 8. See that section for more information on them. www.myspace.com/stromofdamnation
CONFESSION BOX - Tangled Web We Weave - Alternative Rock - Alexis Logan - vocals/acoustic guitars and Stephen Harris - guitar/bass, drum programming, keys, etc. Also features some drum tracks from Chris McHugh and percussions from Eric Darken. Here's another cd where you get your money's worth. All 9 tracks are winners. 60 Tamworth CR., Hoxton Park, NSW 2171 Australia www.myspace.com/confessionboxtheband.
3RD ROOM - FRAME OF MIND - Metal/Classical/Electronica - What a great mix of styles these Italians have mastered! The cd comes in a cool high dollar dvd package that includes their ep, lyric data, and video. I dig the jamms, but having the opportunity to see the video for "IN MY ROOM", has placed them on the top of my mp3 list! This is a must have in any genre collection! Khay Lenitas - Lead vocals, Roberthk - Guitars,Piano & Orchestral Composer, Mr. MonTagnA - Bass Guitar, and - Drums. www.myspace.com/enterinmyroom
MALICIOUS DAMAGE - SICKNESS AMONGST THE PURE - DEATH METAL -Josh-vocals, Tony-guitar, Dave-drums, and Pat-bass  Seldom do I use the word EXCELLENT, but there is just no other word for this work of art. I haven't figured out which song is my favorite, but if they don't tour fast, I'm headed to Hollywood, FL. !!!  www.maliciousdamage.net.   www.Myspace.com/10837491
