Thanks for all you do NTFB! I just sent this out to everyone at my company:

The North Texas and Tarrant Area Food Banks Team Up
to Help Sister Food Banks and Victims of Hurricane Ike

The North Texas Food Bank is committed to building and transporting 4,000 family food boxes to the Houston and Beaumont Food Banks for distribution to families as they come back to the area and we need your help. We are now seeking food donations. Items needed are:

Fruit Juices
Canned Meats
Beef Stew
Chunk Light Tuna in Water
Pork and Beans
Canned Soup
Canned Vegetables
Canned Fruit
Spaghetti in Tomato Sauce
Dried Beans
Dried Rice
(no glass containers, please)

Bring anything you can from the list above to my cube throughout this week and next – you can set items on top of my file cabinet if I am not here. I will gather all the items and take them to the N. Texas Food Bank next Tuesday afternoon, as I go through that area on my way home.

It only takes a moment to raid your pantry, grab a few things and stash them in your bag tonight or in the a.m. Please bring what you can – even if it’s only one item – someone will be grateful. Feel free to see me for more info.

Laura,

Thank you so much for your generous efforts. We welcome any efforts in hunger relief that you tackle. We would like to recommend our Virtual Food Drive as well, if you don't find the Canned Food Drive Participation effective enough. The VFD can be found here: http://www.ntfb.org/d_fund_food_drive_vfd_form.cfm

Thank you again!
