Manilatown Heritage Foundation's 2nd Annual Dinner, Dance and Silent Auction

San Francisco, CA – August 2008 – Manilatown Heritage Foundation will be celebrating their 2nd Annual Dinner, Dance and Silent Auction this October 4th 2008 at the Cathedral Hill Hotel. Our goal is to highlight and empower the broader community to share in the historic International Hotel struggle and victory. We plan to acknowledge filmmaker, Curtis Choy, and community leader, Lillian Galedo with the Bill Sorro award in the areas of arts & culture and social justice. Our keynote speaker will be supporter of social justice, Assemblyman Warren T. Furutani, who is sponsoring the Assembly Joint Resolution (AJR) 65, the resolution on historical contributions of Filipino and Filipino American communities in California. We plan to celebrate in the community building experience with old and new friends.
