Hello and welcome to the Voices of Uganda blog. We've barely shot a frame and already the response to the project has been overwhelming, so thank you. Please tell your friends about what I expect to be an unprecedented collaboration of talents and cultures. I am honored and humbled that Melissa, David, Katy and the Voices in Harmony team have invited me to direct a documentary about their collaboration with northern Ugandan teenagers. This film will be unlike any other story told about northern Uganda. We are building on the greatness of such films as "Invisible Children" and "Uganda Rising" (and "War Dance, which I am dying to see) by getting up close and personal with the teenagers affected by this brutal civil war. And through the Voices in Harmony theater program this project and film will give teenagers in northern Uganda a chance to share their personal voices with a larger audience in a completely new way.
