There was The Joneses!
From the Punk and Junk of cross-pollination and migratory wanderings of young hungry upstart musicians a band like No other before or since got thier start in Tha OC!

Playing insane shows dolled up like a young West coast Skate punk version of The NY Dolls. Or A Huntington Beach version of The Rolling Stones!
The Joneses broke ground as a "Glam" band at least 5 years before it was fashionable!

Recordeing early Rodney Bingenhiemmer favorites and competing with the Punk Rockers of the day The Joneses built quite a reputation as a womanizing, heavy dinking, druging and just plain outrageous band long before any Glam tantrums were performed by such out of towners as previously mentioned.

These guys were Tha SHIT!!

Some touring and personel changes later there came the time to record "Keeping up with the Joneses" on Dr. Dream records. In My opinion a Great Rock 'n Roll record! (On which I played all the harmonica)!
Hard living, misunderstandings with The Federal athorities (Bank Robbery?) and Giant comercialization of Crappy Glam bands (The MTV era), passed the Joneses and their founder Jeff Drake right on by but With the Re-release of this timeless record and the show scheduled for Aug. 18th The Joneses are Back!

I played many Crazy shows with them and survived myself.

Of Course My Band The Purple Gang will follow The Joneses set. (I met drummer Mike Sessa through Jeff and he will play w/both Bands as will I)!

Come out and sing along to all thier Classics!
