The Nudes on the other hand left me feeling a bit Deliveranced. Here are 3 reasons why i love them like fat kids love cake. Or jaw-wiring and stomach stapling if theyre trying to turn their lives around. 1. The singer was wearing a beautiful cardigan, I nearly shouted out. 2. The drummer was an effervescent ball of fury who appeared, mid-solo, to tear his t-shirt off with his own teeth 3. They clearly love The Clash as much as I do. Theirs is a paired down rock n roll but at the same time not at all basic or boorish. Though strung on a traditional punk rock frame the melodies are unusual, sly and feel like theyre being passed under the table to you by a man in a trenchcoat. The set bristles and leaves me stiff legged and clenched. Thats right....clenched. More please.
