Friday 6th July @ The Cross

It's Kidology time again as Mark Wilkinson and The Kidettes bounce back into their first-Friday-of-the-month-slot at The Cross, with a line-up to make your knees go weak.

On 6th July, Kidology at The Cross will be four (months old) and it's growing up quick. So far the party's had the aural pleasures of chart topping producer Alex Gaudino, Radio 1's Trophy Twins, Circus's Yousef, Kiss star Steve Smart, and of course, Kidology Records don Mark Wilkinson.

It's Monsieur Sebastien Léger who's taking the lead role on this night dishing out much electro and techno goodness. His DJ sets are of expert quality, just like his production; the Frenchman has remixed for heart throb Justin Timberlake, had signings on Ministry of Sound, remixed and produced alongside production ace Chris Lake, and he's recently set up his own label Mistakes. But playing Kidology will be anything but a mistake.

Playing in the same bricked arch and no stranger to The Cross is Guy Williams, a man lucky enough to have played at in the countries most infamous nights including Flesh at the Hacienda, and Vague in Leeds. He'll be playing a chunky house set with a rockin' electro edge alongside Kidology signing Tyrrell, a DJ and producer whose sets are littered with his own tracks and remixes, who's often found guilty throwing shapes behind the decks. Seb Zito - one half of the Funky Disciples who're more commonly known for their residency at Smartie Partie, will join the ball, topping up the minimal and techy sounds of the room.

Over into the middle arch, Kidology crowds will be wooed by Mark Wilkinson aka DAB Hands himself, plus Eddie Kid, former keyboard player of The Streets and Fluency vs Dave Boynes. The Fluency boys love dance music more than Oakey loves his mullet, and Dave Boynes is closely connected to the Out Of OFFice; friDAZED crew. Out Of OFFice aka Michael Woods, got off to a flying start this year with debut release "Hands Up" – a track deemed by some of the DJ elite as THE tune of the Miami Music Conference.

Kidology have claimed since its birth to put the fun back into Friday's, and looking closely at this event, it's on track. The Kidettes – the night's harajuku styled dancers, are all about having fun; they're colourful, have very cheeky personalities, and are often found dishing out inflatable objects around the club.

And do not threat Dot Cotton clones that this is the first Kidology since the smoking ban has come into effect. The Cross is fully equipped with a beautiful garden, perfect for that midnight puff. Put on something fun, and come down to listen to some awesome house music. Put the fun back into your Friday!
