I had been eagerly awaiting this show for a LONG time. The last Gville High on Fire show was canceled. So when they told me the end of last year that they were playing Gville early 2008 I had my fingers crossed. And when this show was announced I bought a ticket and had it hanging on my wall for MONTHS.
So many good friends of mine with great taste in music had told me about seeing them live, and they were so right. I felt like I was in own personal heaven the entire night. Next time, I need to get closer to Des though for better shots of him playing.
But to top it off they were all genuinely wonderful real people. Which made me really happy. I hate meeting a band and they turn out to be a bunch of egotistical jerks, really ruins their music for me.
But not HOF, they were the nicest! A big thanks goes out to my friends in Liquid Limbs, for hosting the after-show show/party... where I got a chance to get to know the HOF guys a bit.
What's more is that I really enjoyed EVERY band that played that night, which is a rare treat. I'll have photos up here at some point of all of them.
Give it a minute for all the pics to upload. There are over 40 and I didn't feel like splitting them up into 2 photo blogs.

My friends are so used to me sticking a camera in their face they just kind of enjoy it now
and usually pose. But some of these aren't even posed.

This never seems to get old.

Just AMAZING.
