End of the show: Tara and Virgil make their best sad faces...haha

Then we tried to get something to eat. Waffle House was packed so we went to the Village Inn,
where there was a crazy wait but somehow got a seat pretty fast.

Check out Tara’s photos from that on her Flickr here:

Tara’s Flickr Photos

As well as all her other DragCon photos, including many terrible ones of me getting crazy...hehe

After eating, most of our group went back to out hotel which was across the street.
But Virgil was still raging and REALLY wanted to go to the after party. So after Tara
finally peed in the snow and the van nearly left w/out us we all got a ride to the party w/a
friend of Virgil’s. It was now down to just Virgil, Tara, Owen and I from our DragCon day 3 group.

We went to Ben’s house, which was decorated quite amusing to me.

Someone please buy me this for Xmas...heh

The cutest edible deer poop I ever saw!

At this point I was deliriously tired and not even the wine could keep me awake. So I started my
goodbyes with Steve who came all the way from Australia to DracCon!

On our VERY COLD walk back to our hotel I spotted this sign that was just asking for us to pose
for photos in front of. Yeah, sneakers don’t grip in ice too well.

Smoking broccoli? Yeah, we were tired and being wacky.

But that didn’t keep Virgil for taking a bike he found roadside for a spin. I RAN alongside him in
my cowboy boots and took these shots. Amazing I didn’t wipe out on the icy sidewalk.

The bike was still there in the bushes next to he hotel when we checked out the next morning.

WHAT BIKE!?!

January 27, 2008 - Heading back to Florida.

Virgil had found this awesome place for us that served breakfast all day. Good thing because
it was the first day we kinda got to sleep in. Best night of sleep for me the entire trip.

Did I mention that Virgil is just about the busiest guy I know? He couldn’t even make it through
eating without a call. Oh, and he got the Hawaiian lay at the show the night before and refused
to take it off until we were all safely on our way home. All night he kept saying, "Look, I got laid"...haha

I got everyone chewing my tea tree toothpicks while we were there.

We had one more walk around beautiful downtown Ft. Collins before we left, while looking for touristy Colorado stuff.

Then Virgil took it upon himself to take us all back to the Denver airport which was just absolutely amazing of him!

Bye snow and mountains.

Bye DragCon Party Bus Crew.

I spotted one of these on the way into the Denver airport, I’m glad I saw another that
I could photograph because this poster is so awesome beyond words!

Several hours and no sleep later we’re back at the Orlando airport. This guy is art although
he looks very real. Creepy huh?

We got some coffee, our bags, my car and hit the road for Gville. And then i drove another hour
home from there. I REALLY just wanted to sleep in my bed.

THE END OF DRAGCON 2008

Funfunfun! Glad you finally got some sleep.... ;-)

The Jesus sign is awesome, though I've always preferred "Jesus is coming -- do you spit or swallow?"

As long as it doesn't cut into my work time at all.

I'm already getting screwed for going to Mexico this week, and probably for my Durango, CO trip in June.

Unpaid leave that was once paid vacation time blows.
