PART 1 -

no Alarm today!  sweet..   haha  Turkish bath house experience is deffinitly in full effect though..  so along our trip we have seen alot of cool bathroom experiences mainly different baths and shit like that.. but at my homie stav's crib the toilet is definitly the crazyiest..  there is a lil string hanging from the roof..  and you pull this string and the toilet flushes!  fuckin cool!  buuut  you have to be careful that if you dont push the string back up in the whole the water will keep running..  haha  coolest setup yet by far..  no shower curtain yet!  but that shit is cool.. i didnt wake up till like noon today.  after showering and all that its about 1pm were heading down to the south of athens so we can get some fresh seafood..  soo stoked..  i have the feeling were gonna have the best food of the trip here in athens.. show tonight too!   but first we have to try to find foundation a power supply for his mixer, he blew that at the last show..  so far were down my effects machine, and his mixer, hope fully that will be all were down by the end of this tour!  haha  i hate the power conversion here in europe..  atleast twice we have shut down the power to the whole building jus plugging in a power strip or our power adapters..   haha  when we were in mets, radioinactive was telling us a story about when he plugged in his cellphone at a hotel somewhwere on tour it shut the power off to the whole hotel..  haha  they finally got the power back on a few minutes later, but they didnt get hot water back on for hours..  haha  to the whole hotel..  wtf!?   haha  so any way foundation has us running around athens trying to find a power supply..haha  aint happenin  not for a vestax 08 pro anyways..  we hit like 3 places, how it would go down is philip would pull up on the street and him and foundation would hop out and leave me and 2mex in the back seat sitting in the middle of these busy ass crazy streets! cause foundation needed an interpitur, other wise he would never be able to communicate what he needed..   soooo,   me and 2mex would look at each other like wtf is going on right now.. is this really happening..  haha  so were blocking this street this one time cars would usually honk and get mad but somehow be able to barely squeeze by..  but this one time this UPS truck pulls up and cant squeeze by the skinny street..  haha  he lays on the horn and wont let up..  those dudes are no where to be found..  so i say fuck it..  my first time driving in athens.. haha here we go..  i hop in the driver seat and start pulling foward so he can pass..  apperntly he is turning left,  where im parked now.. still hasnt let off the horn..  so i cuss at him in my best american pretending im speeking greek accent and wave my hands..  he is doing the same thing at me..  haha  i finally get out of his way through the intersection, and now im double parked in front of this angry lady and she wants out..  errrbody is in a fuckin hurry jeez..  i look down the end of the street and there is now 2 riot police hawking us hard with there automatic weapons in the hands and sheild over their faces.. one signals the other to look at us..  so they are both starring and now i have to back up the wrong way of a oneway, through an intersection, UPHILL! to get out this bitches way and back to the clear..  2mex is trippin, he said "jus be cool homie and dont do anything dumb to draw more attention to those millitary dudes with guns and these fools will be right back"..  suurrre...  so i slap it in reverse put my hand on the back of the seat and start backing up this hill through the intersection the wrong way,  up a one way! ..   but for some fucked up reason,  under all this comotion i failed to realize that reverse is in the wrong side of the stick shift in this backwards ass car.   haha  and i shoot foward and almost smack this other car in a jerking type motion and slam on the brakes and make a sqweel noise..   fuuuck!   haha so much for not drawing attention..  i was thinking about watching episodes of locked up abroad before i left..  and could see me and 2mex get whisked away before those dudes even got back! locked up in jail abroad!   haha  im now laughing cause im thinking were so fucked..  and some how i figure out how to calm down, and 2mex cracks a joke..  and now were both laughng as these military dudes are starring us down hard mutha fuckin core now..  haha  so i back the car up through the intersection as cars are totally honking at me, i dont give a fuck at this point..  i park it take a deep breath and hop back in the back seat of the car and me and 2mex are sitting quiet without saying a word..  jonas and philip comeback 5 seconds later, and philip says..  "see..  i told you everything will be cool"   hahahah  i said yup,   you did..  and we bounced out.. awsome..  he tells us he you wanna see some crazy shit, and im thinking in my head it doesnt get much crazyier than what jus happen..  but im always up for some crazy shit..  and i say sure.. lets see some crazy shit.. he tells us he is gonna take us by the "day of the living dead".  i guess its a spot where all the junkys are, and they jus cover this whole street standing hunched over, asleep standing up, jus out their mind..  we make a few turns, and he says see this, this is the police station the rioters jus bombed..  and it was all fucked up, and there was hella riot police on the whole block..  he goes now watch this..  we turn the corner and its fuckin junky central, right around the block!?  we see this girl making a herion deal right on the corner..  its hard to explain the scene man..  jus mad people mostly grown men, in their late 30'searly 40's jus yelling making scenes, selling shit..  philip said recently they had like mini turf wars where a fool would show up with a machete jus choppin fools down on some third world shit..  at this point is the only time at all this whole trip that i feel unsafe..  these guys are like 10 feet from me..  i have my window down and were behind some delivery truck that is stopped we cant go anywhere..   if i put my window up, it will look like im scared and draw attention..  i jus suck it up and act as hard as i can.. haha fuckin crazy!  as we pull away i see the same bitch that jus did the herion deal snorting herion on the street..  and then dipping her cigerette in the rest..  wow..  right around the block from these police!  and the police station!  philip said they cant arrest the junkys cause then they have to feed and sheter them so they just let them be junkys..  so that was where the transactions were going down..  we turn down one more block and he says this is day of the living dead..  and i swear to god it was straight out a fuckin zombie movie..  people sleeping standing up! or passing out as they walk..  like walking 3 steps then stopping and lowering their head..  then walking again a few seconds later..  and there was hundreds of em..  just filled the whole block..  i never scene anything like it.. unbelievable..  at one point we saw i sighn and in anarchist painting it had a picture of a needle with a line through it..  like saying no more needles!  and directly under it there was a zombie hunched over sleeping standing up!  crazy!  i managed to get a picture of that one cause it wasnt on the junk block..  i was speechless..   and philip says..   lets get some seafood now!  hahahah  we finally get down to the south of athens, its more like the port section of the city, ocean, boats, pretty cool looking..  we park and start walking down the coast looking for a decent resturant..  we meet up with stav, and a couple homies..  and we scarf down on the bombest seafood i had in a long time!  huge shrimp!, calamary, wild feild greens, these little fried dilly fish.. that you eat whole bones and all, the best greek salad ever, and it had no lettuce, just feta cheese, onions, tomato, olives, cucumber.. oh my soo bomb..  we got full off seafood...  so bomb..  now where late for soundcheck..  on our way back one of the homies is and archyologist and knows all kina shit about athens, and he tells us how the rock wall where driving on was built in 500bc  thats so freakin old!  and 2mex the joker he is, busts out saying..  damm..  500bc.. thats old..  jus imagine there was prolly hookers around here in 500bc when dudes where making this wall!  haha   dudes funny..  

Part 2 -

So we get to the sound check a little late but its all good..  the venue is like a hip little bar/coffee bar with all this computer and toy parrifeniala from the 80's and 90's  they had a set of 3 speak and spells on the wall.. haha  very cool..   we were in the basement.. it takes a while to get set up and sound checked but it finally goes down..  
there is a turntable dj group setting up so it seems like there is gonna be some scratching going down..  man i whish i still had the chops in scratching i had back in the morse code days..  haha  im much more of a party rocker now..  but i can still hold my own.. but seeing all these turntable set up really brings back some good memories..  ughhh  :) its a late show and the whole thing doesnt get started till like 11, i walk down there after 11 and see a group playing and this female mc is jus killing it!  whish i knew her name she was dope..  she was also in the front row our whole show, requesting old 2mex songs and shit..  dope bgirl for show..   the turntable group came on and jus killed it.. their set was dope..  a couple ruff transitions at times..  but the scratching was on point..  made me wanna go home and practice..  haha  wegot on and killed it!  the set is getting better and better by now..  and were able to really rock these crouds..  2mex songs span such a wide variety..  and we get to do our little dj routines and shit..  fun set..  right after i bounce outside to try and hustle some cd's..  i do very good with merch in athens and end up making like 70 euro in merch  not bad..  sometimes i can only give cd's away at these shows..  its a trip too becuase we are going to whole different countrys and the money rate is competly different each time..  so we have to figure out how much to sell cd's for each city..  some poorer countrys we have to lower our price..  trippy..  but makes since..  after the show we head back to the apartment and the weed starts burnin again..  these cats smoke tuff man..  haha  i geek out on the internet for hours till the we hours of the night...  haha  yes..  internet is worth more than sleep at that point of my life.. :)  but tomarro we have to wake up early to hike the acropolis, and then be at the airport to catch a plane to Praha!  for another show.. buuut before i pass out i get an email from doug, and it says that our austria show has fell through, and they offer us an instore instead, ughh  thats gonna change the game a little..  haha cause now we have 4 days off till the next show, but if we bounce out after the show we might be able to make it all the way back to paris, and be able to hop on a boat show with radioinactive, la jae, and ddamge.. hmmm  im sleep on it and not even mentioned it to these sleepers till tomarro..   the saga continues.. ..  but shhhhh   im not gonna set my alarm..  hopefully we wake up ontime and that all works out!   haha
