YOU KNOW WE WIN, JOSE TOOK A PLEA BARGAIN OF 30YEARS TO LIFE NO PAROLE TILL THE 30 YEARS IS SERVED.......SO WE WIN RIGHT.......WELL IT WAS EXCITING........BUT HE MORE PROTECTED HIS OWN FAMILY FROM HEARING THE DETAILS OF HOW BAD HE BEAT HER........WE MORE OR LESS KNEW........THEY STILL THINK HE IS INNOCENT,  AND SAY "THEY HAVE GONE THROUGH HELL".......THEY DONT KNOW HELL.........I THINK THE TRIAL AND THE EVIDENCE WOULD HAVE GIVEN THEM A CLUE..........

IT IS SUCH A BITTERSWEET VICTORY, WE WIN, HES GONE......TO PROTECTIVE CUSTODY.......WHY??????  TAEGEN HAD NO PROTECTION.......HIS FAMILY STILL THINKS HES A GOOD BOY........HA HES A FRIGGIN ANIMAL.....AND TAEGEN SHES GONE........LIFE IS THE WAY TO GO .......THE DEATH PENALTY IS TO FINAL.........NOW I KNOW HE WILL SUFFER FOR 30 YEARS....AT LEAST....SO DOES THAT MAKE ME A HORRIBLE PERSON........IM REALLY NOT AND AM TRYING TO ASK FOR FORGIVENESS........

He might be in protective custody. However so was Jeffrey Dalmer and he was accidently let out by a cop. Same for lots of molesters and child abusers. They are hated by inmates and cops. Maybe one day Jose will repent and ask for forgiveness. Everything is possible with GOD.

My name is Stephanie. I am Jose's aunt. Iam writing this to first of all to say I hope Baby Teagen can finally rest in peace. This little Angel deserves to rest in peace. I am also writing this about all the comments about my family. I just want everyone to know I do know what HELL is. I had to bury my Little Angel when he was only 16 months old. This is a hell a mother never gets over, we just learn to deal one day at a time with it. So how can everybody say our family does not know what hell is. U all hate Jose what does that have to do with his mother? She was not there , the family was not there. U all can hate all Jose all u want to but you have no right to talk about us, our family. My sister is going to go through hell the rest of her life for something she had no control over. She also lost her baby and as u all know. But your kids are ur life. At least this is the way our family works. So u guys can talk about Jose but u have NO RIGHT TO JUDGE HIS FAMILY! May God Bless U all.

It's just really hard to feel bad for his family when they are supporting him after knowing what he did.. I will continue to think of these two families forever but Taegen and her family were really the ones wronged here. This is HER site not his.. turn the other way if it feels that bad. Let them have this its all they have awareness to this problem is long over do....

Stephanie, My name is Lea. I am Taegy's great aunt. I too hope she is resting peacefully now. I too am sorry for your loss because you are absolutely right your kids are your life. I personally cannot speak for the rest of my family but I know how your sister must feel on one hand of having her son in jail and knowing what is going to happen to him. Myself I understand that part of it but what I don't understand is her believing that he is innocent that this was some kind of accident on his part. But I do feel for her and the rest of you too because of the hell that you will be going through because of Jose. I don't blame anyone but Jose for this, other than the girl that was babysitting. But I am not sorry for the way I feel. I saw her little body laying in the casket. There was not one spot on that baby girl that was not bruised ! I am stopping now with I wish you all knew the truth of what he really did. Maybe one day you will and maybe then you can understand why we all feel the way we do! No ill intent meant to the rest of youre family. And may God Bless All of us that are deserving!

And when he took the plea bargain he showed SJC what a pussy he is. Taegen deserved this victory before her Birthday, Happy Birthday sweetheart.

WHOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO WE WIN YES WE DID this is a victory to us all i remember taegan when she was just a baby holding her she was the cuties little girl so sweet and tiny so its hard to think it really hasnt been that long ago and it saddens me that she isnt here with us anymore, but i know shes in heaven smiling down on her family and all the wonderful friends. now your heart can start to heal.

Was thinking its like 3 pm here now and Jose is at the prison now prolly getting all checked in and BEING CHECKED OUT LOL wonder what makes him think it was gonna be better there than here at least here there was some resemblance of protection, well his family cant do anything to help him now they can just sit by and listen to him cry I just wonder what he thought was going to happen. That he wasnt gonna have to go to prison that he would walk what a prick he is and his family what did they think would happen what kind of hell did they go through THEY HAD HIM AT HOME BREATHING AND TALKING was that hell for them i dont think so, they can go see him every thursday or whatever day it is they are allowed visitors AT LEAST THEY CAN SEE HIM no one can hold taegan or hear her talk so i dont see how that family has gone through hell well let them think what they want we all know what he did and it was NOOOOOOOO ACCIDENT. God Bless you Jan and cody and jewel and conner and all the rest of the family too it was a long time coming but finally Taegan is the winner.

i am so glad to know that justice does prevail sometimes. although it doesn't seem fair in the end. you lose your child, and he gets to live. i don't believe that any punishment they gave him would be enough in your family's eyes. i know it would never be enough in mine. if it were me, the person responsible for something as tragic, would be pleading for prison time if i had things my way. i could never imagine the pain your family has endured. you are in my prayers. happy birthday taegen! you are such a beautiful little girl. i think of you everyday when i look at my myspace page and see the beautiful picture of you! you are truly an angel!

First if all, Jan...feeling the way that you do towards Jose does NOT make you a horrible person. He killed your sweet, innocent granddaughter. Taegen was just a little BABY, for heaven's sake--she did not deserve what she went through on that horrible night. I think that anyone in their right mind who was in you and your family's position would feel the same way towards Jose Garcia. I myself have a lot of hate for the man, and I don't even know Taegen, or any of you! Nor have I met Jose, but anyone who would do something this unspeakable(to a CHILD!!!) and then try to lie their way out of it, is cold, evil, and heartless. No doubt about it. You are a good person to not want to hold hate in your heart, but there are some things that just aren't forgiveable, and this is one of them. However, I will say a prayer for you and your relatives and loved ones, that God will try to help rid you of the hate. God understands that it's not easy; He knows what you're going through, but if you have faith in him, He'll help you.
And a very happy 2nd birthday to Miss Princess Butterfly Taegen--WE LOVE YOU, SWEETHEART!!! You're safe and free to fly with the angels now, and never will you hurt or feel pain again. And our God will take very good care of you, as he has been. Justice came served to you just in time, sweetheart, right before your big day.
I would also like to add that I just saw the news interview clip...I think it's HILARIOUS that Jose proclaims his innocence, but pleads GUILTY. Okay, I don't know much about the legal system, but why the hell plead GUILTY, then swear up and down you did nothing wrong?? Isn't that contradicting yourself? And why wasn't the babysitter charged with SOMETHING--like child endangerment? She WAS the person who was supposed to be in charge of the children--well, she fucked up royally, to say the very least. (Please excuse my language.) But maybe one of these days her "real" story will come out...then the Garcia family will see Jose for who he really is. As for him bawling his freakin' eyes out for having to go to prison--cry me a river, seriously. Taegen was supposed to be safe, too...and look what happened to her. And you're absolutely right--Jose's family has no idea what HELL is...so they really need to keep their mouths shut, in my opinion.
Rest in peace, Taegen, beautiful little girl. You didn't stand a chance against this monster. As for you, Jan... I'll continue to keep you and the rest of your family in my thoughts and prayers. I have a lot of love for Taegen, and all of you, although we have never met.

I have lived in this world a long time.....but I was shocked, stunned, sickened, and enraged when I heard about your sweet angel's death. I hope that punk SUFFERS at the hands of the biggest, roughest, meanest thugs in prison every day of his rotten life. I cannot imagine how you feel.....but your sweet baby girl is at rest, and that trash will at least not have the chance to harm anyone ever again. Hopefully when and if he makes it out of prison he will be carrying his butt in a sling and too weak to pick on anyone else...you are a brave and gracious person. God bless you....

I am glad that Teagan has gotten some form of justice. I also think it is wonderful that they are planting a tree for this special lil angel. All of ur family has every right to want the worst for him. He deserves it. Thank God that they have made the world a little safer for children. I will pray for you and your family. I am very sorry that you even had to go through this. Teagan should be here with her loving family. She was such a beauty.

Well said sis. His family will soon learn the meaning of hell. Even if they did know the truth of just how badly he beat her they would still think he was a good boy just having a bad moment. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. People like that have no compasion for anyone but their own kind. But I can not wait for Jose to start his jail time. Not only will they rape him stupid but they will more than likely beat him to death. I just wish we could all be a fly on the wall and watch it go down. So you see sis, your not the only one that needs to ask for forgiveness. I just don't have it in me to ask just yet. I want that punk ass to suffer and suffer and suffer some more. And I hope they keep him alive for several months just so they can rape and beat him on a daily basis. Even then his family will never feel the hurt we all have. Not until he has been beaten to death, maybe then they will know how it feels.This is what I am praying for! Now it's just a time factor. Time to heal. I love you all and I miss you.

My prayers are with you and your family. I'm glad for the victory though bittersweet, victory none the less! God will have his vengence, be sure of that. He doesn't like it when horrible demons like him mess with his perfect little angels like Taegen.

I am a little late with this, but I am so glad to hear that he will suffer as well. You are right, the death penalty is too final. He needs some suffering in his life for the life he has taken. That does not make you a bad person.
Kudos to you for never giving up on bringing justice to your beautiful granddaughter. May she soar high until you see her again.

She is looking down on your family and is so very proud of all of you. You all never gave up your fight. I pray that all people who hear Taegen's story are blessed with the strenght and courage your family has. May god bless and watch over you and yours.
