We are putting out a S.I.D.S 7" that was just sent to the plant. It is titled "My Other Vehicle is a Stretcher,"and will include both a CDr and a DVD of a live performance. Beat that everyone else!!!! It comes out on October 3rd officially. We are working on a release show and I will get the artwork up soon for you to check out. It was done by the famous Keren Richter, whose art can be found at www.notkeren.com.
Also coming up is The Close full-length CD "Sun, Burn." The tracks are hot and they will be on the road in support of this album throughout the fall and spring. Look out every other band in existence! The tenative release date is October 31st. Spooky!
The Blue Hour just spent some time in Minneapolis making a record. Apparently, there are 13 brand new tracks that are going to see the light of day as a 7" single followed by a full-length album to be released in the spring. Hot! Knol Tate of the incredilbly talented band Askeleton co-produced and engineered the songs, and a large cast of very talented Minneapolis- and Atlanta-based musicians added a small piece of their souls to the album. The Orphins are being dears and finishing up their album for us. This will be a spring release as well, and I am sure you are probably as excited for it to come out as we are.
Askeleton is making demos for their new album. Knol tells me he is just sitting around drinking lemonade, writing lyrics and wearing H&M shorts while the other members of the band hurriedly write music for him. Mid-conversation he also belted this out, "I'm a lyric machine and a sweat machine and this isn't a beer belly, it's a solar panel for the sex machine." So, uh, hopefully all is well in Skelly land... :) Apparently they have been steaming some of these demos on their myspace page. Check 'em out! www.mypace.com/askeleton.
Fab four starlets The Press are going strong after releasing a fine piece of 7" wax with us. If you have not picked up the "Red Comes Ringin'" 7" yet you are missing out on something truly amazing. They are holed up making some demos right now in a dark and wet basement and asked me not to speak to them for a few weeks. Psh, whatever!
