After a few months at the helm of Dr. Sketchy PDX, there has been so
much confusion related to past Dr. Sketchy events, that I can't see any
other way to use my time wisely than to drop the Dr. Sketchy name, altogether. I will be using the same venues at present, 2nd Saturday at Floyd's
Coffee Downtown [1-4pm] and 2nd Sunday at Kellys' Olympian Downtown [7-10pm]. Both are stellar venues, with food, beer and wine, and of course
Floyd's has coffee.
In my art career, I have run life drawing events for 10 -12 years off
and on, from California, to and will Arizona, and for 5 years off and on here in Portland. I'm excited to continue, and hope you will join me.
I have had a nice model list for a while here in Portland, which was
expanded when I started producing burlesque events in Portland in Dec. '07. Meeting burlesque dancers who are, many of them, also models. What's unique is having photography also allowed at the life drawing sessions I'm holding at the clubs, mixed with periodic specialty guest performers, and vendors!
Again, I will be dropping the Dr. Sketchy name and format as of now,
as I've received many suggestions that we hold poses longer than 20 minutes, something that isn't allowed under Dr. Sketchy guidelines.
Being independant and being able to change up the format is where I
want to be, and I think Portland artists and vouyers alike will enjoy the upcoming
events that I will be putting on.
My friend Zoe, the previous Dr. Sketchy PDX director and I will join
forces to keep you excited, inspired, and artisticlly stimulated, we are in talks now.
Offering photography & drawing sessions in unique settings, with an
array of eye-poppingingly gorgeous models is still going to be our passion.
where I will run announcements for these events as well as the monthly
burlesque show !
