Current mood:  excited
Hello!
I thought I'd take a stab at the blogging again! This time I thought I'd share 5 of the new music stories that are piquing my interest! Enjoy!

1. Pavement Reunites!!
After a 10 years hiatus indie rockers Pavement announce a 2010 world tour!  This is very exciting to me as I never got a chance to see them back in their heyday. We still have to wait a whole year in the the first confirmed date (Sept 21 in NYC) but it surely will be worth it! Digging out my cassette copy of "Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain" as we speak....

2. Cake Goes Green for Sixth Album
Everyone's favorite food and alternative rock band CAKE join in the green craze by announcing that their next album will be written and recorded all completely on solar power! Fans will also be able to hear snippets of the new album via ringtones, and there is even talk of releasing the album entirely as ringtones (please at least issue a vinyl!!!) I give kudos to CAKE for being environmentally aware and only hope that the supposed "car" in their hit "The Distance" was a hybrid (even though that's not what the song is about).

3. Wyclef Jean Goes Back To School
... and at Berklee nontheless!  I now can add another cool alumnus to my alma mater, as Wyclef Jean seeks a diploma from the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He'll be taking classes online as well actually on the Boston campus. I hope he gets my favorite ear training teacher...

4. Sublime Reunites & Controversy Follows
I still don't know how I feel about this. Even though I'd love to have seen Sublime in concert, the band just isn't Sublime without Brad Nowell. Isn't this kind of a glorified tribute band now? Plus it is all happening right now, so we will see (probably via YouTube) how the show will go down.

5. Nov 3rd Will Cost Zach A Lot Of Money
I am excited to see a bunch of cool new (and re-new) releases coming in just over a week. This is a mid-90s alternative fans dream day including:
Weezer - Raditude
Nirvana - Live at Reading
Nirvana - Bleach Re-issue
Foo Fighters - Greatest Hits
Notice how they all are (of course) deluxe editions of exclusives, meaning, I'll be spending even more for an extra song or two and nicer packaging. But hey, I'm a music fan, gotta support!!

Thank you! I'm always interested in hearing new stories or checking out new music so please feel free to send any my way!

Zach
