Current mood:  content
Next night landed us in Filipino town(los angeles) at Pehrspace. This is a small gallery which also hosts shows, the space was a perfect size. Sean (Carnage..not quite sure on that) and a friend were busy making friendship bracelets which would represent a stamp for all who came. This night was inspiring to a level just outside the realm of words, we played with Birth, GabberTree, and The Red Hot Thilly Peppers.
Birth was a mixture of "A Christian Death" and early "Iggy and the Stooges" except it was just one writhing screaming, jumping, yelping, person backed by a loop pedal blaring death rock through a bass amp. As far as performance goes this was one of my favorite parts of the tour.
GabberTree was, as the name would infer, a Gabber Hardcore inspired thrash techno trio with members of "Realiside, Captain Ahab, and Anavan". There was screaming, whirring synth builds, pulsing bass, and samples of some classic rave jams.
R.H.T.P performed re-edited versions of modern Chilly Pepper songs.
Solomon DJ took it all the way on this show and kept everyone jammin, filling out the night with rare jams.
Afterwards Jim took us to Canters, one of Solomons favorite food stops. We had Matzah ball soup and carrot cake.
