Cher and Gene here, hoping you are well, and gearing up
for winter!....
We’re doing well and have been very busy recording
some new songs for Christmas. We’re releasing a sampler, titled simply, Christmas Sampler, made up of 4 songs –
“O Come, O Come, Emmanuel,” “Ave Maria,” “Los Peces en el Río” and “I am a
Carpenter (Joseph’s Song)” – and is a sneak peek of our yet-to-be-titled and
yet-to-be-released Christmas album due out in 2011 (possibly 2010!). Christmas Sampler features the amazing talents
of Omaha Symphony players Alexandra Rock (oboe d’amore) and Mark Motycka
(cello), Mannheim Steamroller’s Ron Cooley (guitars/charango) and Joey Gulizia,
(drums/percussion), Jazz All Stars’ Mark Luebbe (bass), David Downing (cello),
Jerome Brich (bass), Tom Ware (drums/percussion) and the beautiful combined
voices of the Fire Choir and Upon This Rock. Christmas Sampler will be available in the next few weeks – through
digital stores only (CDBaby, iTunes and many other digital stores), so get
those iPods and computers ready – we’ll let you know as soon as they are
available. ....
Why not CDs? Great question! Today, musicians and labels
are going through the dilemma of printing physical CDs or not printing CDs,
based on cost, supply and demand. So we are going straight to the source, you –
our supporters – because you are the ones we want to make happy. Could we ask
you a favor? We need your feedback. Could you hit reply with a few short
answers to the following questions – there are no wrong answers. 
This will be of great help
to us in determining the future of how our music is brought to you. ....
1) Do
you buy physical CDs or buy MP3s? ....
2) If
you prefer buying a physical CD, would you buy a sampler of songs now AND buy
the CD of the entire collection (album) the next year when it comes out, or
wait until the entire collection comes out the next year?....
3) If
you prefer MP3s, do you buy a whole album at a time or a single song at a time?....
4) If
you buy CDs, will you be moving toward MP3s in the near future?....
Next – if you are in the Omaha area, we will be performing with Brad Colerick at PS
Collective (in Benson) this Sunday
evening, 7-9pm! (And the pizza is yummy!)....

On another note, if you are in Omaha, we have taken
positions at Marian High School heading up a Worship Choir for their Masses, and
have also taken positions at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church heading up their
music department. If you want to hear some lovely music, we now have an awesome
Adult Contemporary Choir, a Men’s Choir, a Women’s Choir, a Youth Choir,
several smaller groups and family groups too! The choirs rotate services, so
you can always e-mail us for a schedule or contact St. Elizabeth Ann Seton to
find out who is singing when, or check here:....
