Hey Rogues~

 

Well we had a great meeting on the 19th! It was so great to meet you and finally put some faces to the emails! Here's my meeting notes and some reminders about dates coming up that are important! :-)

 

·       The Mardi Gras Parade is coming up Sunday February 3rd (1 pm, Olive Avenue, Tower District) and we are truly blessed to have Kate McKnight head up the float construction! If you want to be a part of the "cool crowd" and help out with construction or even participation in the parade please contact her at katemcknite@gmail.com

·       Thursday February 7th is ArtHop and there are two venues that have offered their space as a teaser performance space. Contact Aileen Imperatrice at Ashtree Studios (aimper1@aol.com) or Mark Royce at Tower Mosiac (dmroyce@mac.com) if you are interested in participating! Also it's a great time to get out and about and support our local artists!

·       Friday February 8th is the Fresno Filmworks function and there will be shows there at 5 pm and 8 pm. This is a great opportunity to get your fliers out! Some of the Rogue Coordinators will be out and about so please come out and help support your show and support the Filmworks!

·       Friday February 22, we are going to have performances on the concourse of the Save Mart Center for the Fresno Falcons home game versus the Stockton Thunder. We will be selling tickets for the Rogue Night on Feb. 26th, selling T-Shirts and passing out fliers.

·       Saturday February 23rd we are having a Kick Off BBQ and Work day! There are some odds and ends we need to get going on and we figured we'd throw a BBQ to mark such an occation! And it'll be cool to get together right before the Rogue starts to talk about shows and hang out! Ashtree Studios at 3:00 pm! ·       Tuesday February 26th is ROGUE NIGHT AT THE FALCONS!!!!! The game starts at 7:30 pm and we will be selling tickets for $10.00, with that ticket you'll also be recieving a $5.00 voucher for any Mainstage or Cafe Rogue show! Pretty cool huh?? Tickets for this will be on sale at Ashtree Studios during their normal business hours or you can arrange to pick up tickets from me, just email me (renee@roguefestival.com). I'll need an estimate on how many vouchers to make out so if you could please let me know you are interested I'd really appreciate it! We want a large group of people so that everyone will see we are really awesome and come out to our shows!

·       Thursday February 28th, ROGUEHOP!!!!!!!!!!! I've sent out an email specifically about this already so please come out and support. If you are interested in participating, email APJ (apj@roguefestival.com)

 

     There is a radio show opportunity happening but I'll be emailing you about that shortly!

 

And then we are up and running and the ROGUE FESTIVAL 2008 is on it's way!

 

A few cool things going on as well:

 

·       We have a photographer for the Rogue Festival and if you are interested in having him take pictures during your performance, please contact Victor Desroches (victor_desroches@sbcglobal.net).

·       Marcel Nunis has offered his services at Apithany Pictures to take film of a Rogue Performance for a small price, if you are interested in having him film your show please contact him (graphics@roguefestival.com)

·       COMP TICKET policy for the Rogue Festival: we do allow you to comp tickets for the Rogue Festival, but what we ask is that you tell the volunteers outside of your venue no earlier than 30 minutes before your show. Your venue manager can help you out with this as well, but please write down those names that you'd like to comp into your show and give it to the volunteers.

·       Graphics/Banners: we have an amazing muse this year and we highly recommend you steal it for use on your website, the only thing we ask is that you leave the graphic exactly how it is. The muse is a copywrighted image! :-) Also check out http://roguefestival.com/roguebanners08.htm  for our banners that you can put on your myspace or website that will link to the Rogue Festival website! It's cool yo!

·       Also, on the website there is a PERFORMER RESOURCE link that has blogs and information you can use to help self promote your show! Free video editing software, the TAO of B.I.T.S. and more... I'd highly recommend you check it out as I've personally seen the results and I wasn't complaining! ;-D

·       The individual performer sections on the Rogue Festival website should be up in the next 7-10 days, check out the website periodically to see what's all going on! www.roguefestival.com
