Thanks to everyone who came out and supported us on our tour.  Thank you especially to those who played with, friends we reconnected with, and those who offered their floors for our backs.

So many bands we played with were amazing.  But for my money (and my money alone), can I burden you with my non-celebrity endorsements of:

Howard's Dilemma (a one-man character-based theatrical show), Goodnight or Sleep (just really interesting songs, presented interestingly, I can't stop listening to their cd), Los Aardvarks (high-energy pop with enough weirdness so as to delight), Spymachine 16 (big band of lots of people and two dancers and lots of screamy singing in unison hot stuff!), Fun 100 (the only other band we've played with where the frontman ALSO has a homemade keytar - all the way from the west coast of Canada), Laura Barrett (she plays solo kalimba and bass with her feet, songs about robot ponies need I say more?), Habitat (boy/girl harmonies, good songs, tres nice), Ice Cream Socials (kicking Buffalo's rear end with keyboards and craziness), Rahu-Ketu (I have no idea what to say about this very idiosyncratic band except mellow, weird, compelling, go listen to them), Skeletonbreath (the tighest band doing hard stuff I have ever seen live - the bassist blew my brains out.  they play gypsy-scary-funky avant-garde instrumentals with bass, electric violin and drums), Red Rocket (from Philadelphia, also with the weirdness and the angularity I have come to associate with Philadelphia) and so many many others.  Truly, there are some great bands out there and go myspace-friend them. and listen!

and special thanks to Wilkesboro, NC for bestowing us with Best Instrumentalists at the Battle of the Bands on the last night of tour, and for almost, almost making us win the damn money!  Holy crap, Wilkes county, we never knew you'd appreciate the robot-geekdom so fully.  We met up with the best group of teenagers there, and watch out, we may just play their "alternate nerd prom" next year. yowza!

thanks again, and wish I could adequately thank everyone more so.

loves,

Wendy & Eyes to Space
