Sydney's 3D World has just reviewed dj foundation's debut lp Paradise
This is what they say
In the wake of singles God is Dead and G-Had, this debut album sees Mosul, Iraq producer DJ Foundation continuing to level his sights at every sacred cow going, as he fuses the US’ ‘War on Terror’ with more deliberately cheesy house styles than you can poke a Scud missile at. I Shot You Babe combines Sonny & Cher’s classic with electro, samples of the religious right and gunfire, while tender moments such as God is Dead meld Muslim devotional chants with porn – and G-Had mutates Chic’s Freak Out into one of the most infectious militant call to arms I’ve ever heard. It’s a fair bet to say that an army of people from all sides of the PC spectrum won’t laugh (check out the comments on his MySpace profile). As satirically biting and clever as it is catchy and danceable, you should probably check this out before extremists from both sides track him down.
