Who Gives Kudos:

If you are in a band - or have a label with multiple bands there are a lot of things Music Street Journal can do for you.

First you can run your release past our writers and see about getting a review. Email me at musicstreetjournal@musicstreetjournal.com and include a link where your sound can be sampled - that way I can pass it on to our writers and see if anyone wants a review copy.

Secondly, you can get a banner ad - they are sixty five bucks a year and get you a slot in rotation on just about every page of the site. That also includes a membership to the site. You can buy a sponsorship. There are a few levels for this, but sponsorships include a combination of banner ads and memberships (give the extras away, auction them off or do whatever you like with them) for a discounted price over buying them individually Again, drop me an email for more information. You can also buy a banner ad for a non-music product.

Do you want your gig dates and press releases listed on the site? Well, there's a couple ways you can do that. First, if you provide material for our members area (audio or video for them to check out) you'll get a log in where you can post that stuff yourself. If you buy a sponsorship all you have to do is email the information to me and I'll post it for you.

Also, I've started my own PR company. Over the years I've done PR work for bands and labels when asked, but now I've decided to do it on a more full-time basis. If you'd like to get some help with your pr you can email me at pr@musicstreetjournal.com to get the ball rolling. You can also check me out on myspace at myspace.com/garyhillpr. Be sure to read the blogs I've been posting for some tips and information about how PR should work. If you decide to add the profile understand this – I'm only accepting add requests from clients or potential clients, publications that would be interested in running articles about my clients and venues. So, if you don't fit into one of those categories, then I'll deny your request. Check the general information on the profile for information on the right way to do an add friend. And if you get denied don't take it personally. I do bookings there, too.

Well, that's all for now, but expect more frequent blog postings in the near future with more information - next up - what's Music Street Journal got to offer music fans?
