Hey Everyone!
I know it's been over a week since Rock of Ages Festival, but I thought I'd write a little something:)
So, Rock of Ages was AWESOME!!! Of course things started out the way thy always do around here...totally chaotic!
I (Natasha) was sick the whole week leading up to Rock of Ages, and made a full recovery the day before we left. Unfortunatly, Jason took my place as the sick one:(
We made our way up up up north(about an hour north of SF) and discovered that the 30% chance of rain we had heard reports of became a 100% chance of rain.
When we arrived at our hotel, we found that Jeremy's truck(which by the way was carrying ALL of our gear) had two, yes two flat tires!
Of course at 10:00pm there are no tire stores or Pep Boys open, so we decided to try and find a cab company with a van to take us to the festival(which was 39 minutes away) the next morning at 7:30am:)
God is good, and we all arrived at the festival in one piece!
As for the rain...
Well, it stopped right when we went on to play, then started up again after we got off! Praise God:)
After we played, allot of people came up to us and shared hat they were truly touched by our set. One guy even said that he was just passing by and saw a sign. He decided to check it out even though he wasn't familiar with "This kind of music" He told me he had "goosebumps" and that our message was exactly what he needed to hear. He got back on the road after our conversation, and for some reason, I feel like we may have been there just for him.
The staff at Rock of Ages were amazing, and we really felt like they valued our ministry. It was also really fun to see how the other side live backstage in the green room. The rest of the bands Salvador, Jaci Velasquez, Seventh Day Slumber, Thousand Foot Krutch, Christafari, and THE NEWSBOYS were super nice to us. (Pictures coming soon)
All in all, it was one of our best moments this year.
Hope to see you at the next show!
God Bless,
Natasha
