Whats up J. Who ever is around when you go through the tough times will always be there. Yeah you can take a break but dont quit what you love to do. I'm going through almost the same thing. Some of my friends tell me not to try for the fire department because they dont get paid... I'm trying out again this year because the FD cut back on how many they were hiring. Sometimes you cant listen or go by everyone around you. Just like we were talking about, I realize the ones that dont care from the ones who are there when I need them now. Now you know the ones that dont care.

I'll tell you honestly, J. I may or may not have listened to your music (I get dozens of requests per week, but I only listen to the ones that are unique in how they ask, come across, etc. I just get around to the "Come Listen To my Music" If that's the most you can do to get me to listen, I'm just not moved), but whether it's good or it's not, it's your story, your statement. If you're reasons are to make money and be famous, I think that maybe you've been saved from a life of disappointment. But if it's your voice, your blood, I wouldn't let anybody stop you from doing that. I have walked the road you find yourself on right now. I don't know you, but that allows me to say things without judgment.

The bad news? If you helped someone, you helped them. That's it. Doesn't matter if they decide to return the favor. The good ones will, the bad ones won't. Remember, and remember. Don't do anything with an expectation of return.

The good news? Jesus had to have Judas, else he wouldn't have ascended. Betrayal is a lesson, what will you take from it? Will you learn to mistrust and protect yourself, thrive in isolation? Or will you take it in stride, move forward a wiser individual?

I found a soft spot in my skin the other day. Not for me, for one of my fellow Duval artists (Rob Roy). His video is on YouTube, and somebody left a stupid comment about how they thought that this song was the only one on the album that would hit. It got to me, because I think that's one of many... I pointed out to this hater that the 'only' one to 'hit' is also in Kanye West's blog because he found the video interesting... and I said "Hi" to the hater. But at the same time, he's entitled to his opinion. It's up to us to prove him wrong, but there will always be an expectation of failure from some people. We deal.

In short, there are negative aspects of the music game/business, and life. Everything is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you deal with it.

I've been hearin you tellin me bout this music thing of yours forever, I mean, back when we was usin yahoo messenger (lol) & you would send me pieces to listen to.. It's crazy that you would even consider stoppin what you're doin! I'm really hopin that you'll reconsider, but ultimately, the choice is yours.... I think you're great at what you do & ay, it's gon be people like that ALWAYS around, so it just can't make sense to stop doin somethin that you love just because of the way they makin you feel about somethin.

Man will let you down every time. I feel that the only person that you can truly blindly trust is the Lord, & he gon always have your back. Keep your head up & I hope to hear from you sometime.

I feel u mayne, you do so much for the people that you thought would do the same if you was stuck in that position, i been in some rough situations and ya I found out a lot, when I was down n out like who was really going be there for me. It goes to show tho, you really just got to keep yourself going, and not let others bring oneself down.
