Today, we met the person that bought the 1st built street model 1965 Shelby Mustang. (VIN SFM5S....003). The VIN 's of 001 and 002 were race models, so 003 is the first street model Mustang. Over the years, a few parts were changed and the new owner wanted it put back to original factory and Shelby specifications. Thus, he came to see us for the original parts. He stayed for 4 hours and carefully searched through our extensive inventory. We made sure he got the best Fastback rear window from the 200 that we have available. Additionally, we searched through 60-70 Fastback door glass pieces to find him the best one for this very special car.
It was a true honor to supply parts for such a historic car. We laughed as the owner stated that he'd never seen more Fastbacks and parts in one place...ever!
