There has been word spreading the last few days about a connection between Colin Powell and Barack Obama. The buzz started this past Sunday when Gen. Powell appeared on Meet the Press.

Opinions seem to vary. Those opinions include a group on BarackObama.com created to Draft Colin Powell into the Obama Campaign.

Any opinions, here, on whether a formal link between Obama and Powell would be a good thing or otherwise?

Yes, I read this about 2 or 3 days ago. I think it's great. I have always liked and respected Colin Powell. I hope he does become involved with the Obama campaign. I think this will score more supporters and voters for Obama...not just with Democrats but especially with Independents and Republicans. This is good news!

That would be great!! Cant believe the man who walked away from having the presidency laid at his feet in 2000, would run as vp this time, but if he comes, I'll take him!!

This would revitalize my somewhat sagging support for Obama, of course I would still want to hold his feet to the fire on DtRTB, in fact, it would keep me engaged that much longer....

Would be funny to have both vp and pres be African American, all in one trip. They also would offer some protection from the nutcases that might try to take out one or the other, knowing they would have to get both of them. I like it!!!! Though I hope nobody, Dem or GOP, gets shot.
