Bands of rain and wind are moving through Georgia, part of the strange little tropical storm that bubbled up almost overnight and hit the Florida panhandle. I love this kind of weather. The stiff breeze this morning kept the mosquitoes off as I walked the dogs, and it must have brought strange odors with it, because the pups kept raising their noses, sniffing deeply.
Our breezy stroll reminded me that soon it will be Fall, my favorite time of year. Curiously, I always think that Dragon*Con is the official gateway to autumn. Klingons, falling leaves, skimpy spandex Anime costumes, apple cider... Okay, call me weird.
At least when the rain finally hits this afternoon, I'll be snug in my house, working on my book.
