Hello all - Hanna here. For those not in the know, a few years ago Rose & I helped start the Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls in NYC where we live. Our camp is a spin-off from the Rock and Roll Camp for Girls in Portland. We have week-long sessions where girls ages 8-18 come and learn how to play instruments, write songs, be in bands, and generally rock out! They start on a Monday morning and by Saturday night they perform original songs in their brand new bands. I know that the girls have a great time, but it would be hard for them to enjoy it more than I do. Camp is almost entirely run by volunteers, who are an amazing bunch of musicians and non-musicians too.
