The Vatican has stuck it's nose into American politics once more. The Church is upset that the U.S. is to fund planned parenthood clinics overseas.

The main stream media choses what they cover from the Vatican. They cover it when it concerns abortion or birth control but not when Pope John Paul II condemned the preemptive and illegal Iraqi war over 20 times prior to the start of the war.

I guess that if the Pontiff is alined with what ever the conservative media wants it's okay.

That's right, the conservative media. If I ever hear the pin heads on the talking right refer to the MSM as liberal, I would remind everyone of the cheerleading that all the news initialed networks (CNN, FOX NEWS, CBS, ABC, NBS, MSNBC, CNBC) and newspapers (I'm looking at you NYT) did in the lead up to war.

As for the Roman Catholic Church, the church that I was raised in, where is their moral standing to condemn the United States over reproductive rights? This is the Church that played beach blanket bingo with pedophile Priest for decades.

The same Church that would have some Americans second class folk because of family values and the sanctity of marriage .... please. This church forbids women from the Priesthood because ... they are women. The same church that forbids it's Priest from sex altogether yet protects sexual predators of children.

Nothing against Catholics. I was raised by them. But the Church? Where does the former Brown Shirt get off?
