I'm totally stoked!!  Blade, Angeel and I have been chicken farming for about a month now, and today I went to my farm to find a new wave ancient chicken egg staring at me in the face.  If you don't know about chicken farming, it's tons of fun...I love the genetics behind it because sion chickens have a genetic mapping system, so the eggs become a result of the DNA of their parents.

This particular egg was parented by my favorite original hen Sunshine, and my new wave rooster, Dewey.  Original chickens were the first sion chickens, and their wings and tails were the same color.  Sion Labs created a new version called the "new wave" which have one color for the wings and another for the tail.  If you breed an original to a new wave, your chicks will always be new waves.  Most people don't deal with the originals at all, but I get the most fascinating colors with the originals so they are just as important to me as the new waves.  Now along with these two races you have the scarce race, which can be an original or a new wave.  Scarce chickens are black.  Then there are the ancients, again original or new wave and they sell between $7K L and $15K L on the market.  Hence the reason why I'm sooo excited....about one in every 3000 laid eggs is an ancient.

I'm not selling this egg though, I'm hatching it.  My friend BigJohn gave me an original ancient so I'm praying this egg will hatch a female.  If that's the case I'll be able to breed these ancients and start selling them for those awesome prices.
