Category: Life
IMPORTANT, PLEASE NOTE:

THESE JOURNAL ENTRIES ARE NOT ENDORSED NOR HAVE THEY BEEN AUTHORIZED BY THE INDIANA CENTER FOR ADVANCED MEDICINE.

THESE JOURNAL ENTRIES ARE PERSONAL AND FROM MY HEART, HOPEFULLY TO REACH YOURS.

I AM NOT A PHYSICIAN.

I AM WRITING FROM A POSITION OF FRIEND & BROTHER.

PLEASE BE CLEAR OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED.

It's come to my attention over the past 3 months of networking throughout various support groups etc, that there are very few people who have ever heard of Photo Dynamic Therapy (PDT).

This has come as quite a shock to me, as I was unaware that PDT was such a 'mystery' to so many.

Ok... so I decided I had to change the way I addressed these groups, and I had to come to terms with going right back to basics about PDT and what it is and how it works - plus I had to ensure that everyone understood that PDT is NOT a NEW treatment; nor is it a 'new-age' treatment; nor is it in 'clinical trials'.

I feel a strong need to reiterate that PDT has been in use, successfully, for around 30 years and was originally 'discovered' more than 100 years ago.  So... why is this successful cancer treatment not offered to the cancer patient in the first instance of diagnosis?

This is a question I ask myself and it is a question that I cannot answer, however I am investigating and I will try to ascertain it's answer if I can. I can only assume that, because PDT is such a specialized treatment, and only a handful of physicians in the world are fully versed in its use for cancer treatment, that regular medical practitioners don't know too much about it themselves - this is the only reason I can think of that may be the reason that PDT is not offered the cancer patient in the first instance as a viable option for them to consider.

Cancer patients are offered chemotherapy, invasive surgery, radiation and toxic drugs. They are not offered any other option. Therefore, the cancer patient feels that there IS NO OTHER CHOICE, when in fact THERE IS... PDT.

The other reason PDT may not be offered as an option to the cancer patient, is that it has not been Licensed to treat cancer patients UNTIL NOW.  The IndianaCenter for Advanced Medicine now has the ONLY License in the USA to treat cancer patients using PDT.

This is a MAJOR MEDICAL BREAK THROUGH.

This changes everything we've ever been taught to believe about the condition of cancer and it makes the very word 'cancer' far less frightening than it ever has been. It's not the 'scary C word' that people dare not even mention. Cancer can now be seen as a medical condition that can be treated without all the trauma, drama, fear, anxiety and pain that we are accustomed to hearing about and that is connected with chemotherapy, radiation, toxic drugs etc.

No more do we need to fear the dire side effects that we fear almost as much as the condition itself. I have had many, many people share stories with me, and often they tell me "he/she died… not from the cancer... but from the chemo & radiation" ...

I can relate to this myself, as my own father passed away from cancer many years ago, and I have always had the thought in my mind that he died from the chemo and massive amounts of radiation & other toxic drugs that were pumped into him in an effort to treat his cancer and save his life... I'm sure the physicians were doing all they knew how to do at that time, but I can't help but think... maybe if we had left him alone and not poisoned him with all that physical trauma, he may very well still be alive today... but hey, that's just my gut feelings talking and I can't be certain of anything.

What I AM and CAN be certain of, is this:

Photo Dynamic Therapy heals cancer - and it leaves the patient with a stronger immune system, rather than 'blasting' them with toxins that kill the immune system making it almost impossible for the patient's body to fight the cancer naturally.

PDT is not covered by medical insurance. This is an important point for many people, as it can be too costly for some...

The alternative being chemo, radiation etc are normally free to the patients... but at what cost to the their health, mind, spirit and soul? these treatments leave the patient feeling chronically fatigued, in terrible pain, they lose their hair, their bodies are burned by the radiation... and still there is NO GUARANTEE that they will be healed... in fact, there are no guarantees in life at all.. we all know this fact.

But... why is it that I am continually asked for statistics with regard to PDT treatment? And I wonder how many patients ask their doctor for statistics regarding chemotherapy & radiation etc...??? If you have had cancer and have had chemotherapy, did you ask your doctor to show you the statistics for this treatment before you decided to proceed with it, or did you simply just accept that it was the ONLY choice you had?

We have statistics for PDT ranging back about 25 years, however, it's only over the past 10 years or so that PDT has really come of age, and it is now at a level well beyond all expectations of its pioneers. Our statistics will provide evidence of treatment and healing from various specialized physicians from across the globe and for the past 10-15 years.

I will continue these journal entries as my time allows, and I welcome your comments and views; in fact, I ask you to please leave a comment on my page or email me with your own personal thoughts or queries.... please get involved.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER. HOWEVER, THIS KNOWLEDGE CAN ONLY BE POWERFUL IF WE USE IT. WE CANNOT STAY IN THE MINDSET OF "YE HAVE HEARD IT SAID OF OLD" - WE MUST COME INTO THE LIGHT AND WE MUST COME INTO THE NOW AND WE MUST REALISE AND UNDERSTAND THAT WE MUST LIVE IN THE "I NOW SAY UNTO YOU" ATTITUDE.

Until we begin the journey to leave the past behind and look to our NOW and our FUTURE, we will always be 'fighting for a cure'...

Peace to you & your home.  Many blessings.

I AM
... always your friend, always your brother,

Yeah.. kinda makes you think about life doesn't it?

Thank you for reading and I hope one day soon, people will begin to understand.

Until that day, we will all be stuck in the mindset of

- 'hoping for a cure'

- 'fighting for a cure'

- 'raising money for a cure' etc

By the way, where does all that money go... all those millions that we 'raise for a cure'?

... to the pharmaceutical companies?? most of it ... so they can keep the drugs coming.

The treatment of chemo and radiation that my father had more than 20 years ago, is still used today.
So, where has all the money gone?

Big sigh from me.

Peace & blessings,

Gab x

Gaby, yet again always the trooper & inpiration my dear fiend! I thankyou for this another one of your exclusive blogs, you have given me some hope & relief. I personally believe the unmentionable when it comes to Cancer cure & many more illnesses, such as HIV. Unfortunately I will keep this to myself not to cause a "GOVERNMENT" uproar! Just read between the lines my friend, "man to the moon" & mums the word! I too had my father & many, many other family members & close friends die from this horrible disease & it's treatments. Infact I myself may be stricken by it & yet as I was told, I refused to follow up & know anything furthur that is within me. I will not submit myself to any 'useless' medications or radiation of any source, I decided to let it be come what may! I donnot have the financial means to 'even try' to dare look into PDT, I have all of the above mentioned sweetheart...anxieties to the maximum, pain (breast was my diagnose) & fear! The fear & anxiety is due to whom I will leave behind that so need me, my children & future spouse (if I get there needless to say)not of me facing death, that has never been of fear to me. Pain, lol just have to "lol"...Motrin 800 mlg 4 times a day & last but not least, "prayers"! That ounce of hope & faith that I live long enough to see my children maturing with their studies & families of there own! Well Gaby, I too will follow up on your quest to the PDT journey that you are deploiting & wish you & all that do the very best of luck...may this be a success to a new life...yes you gave me hopes but for the ones that can afford it & that is more than enough for me!
Once again my gratitute for your incredible passion & dedication...Love & Blessings...my prayers are with all...Terri
