Pieces of me Genetically flawed – surviving the breast cancer I may never have, released late September 2009, is Veronica Neave’s beautifully written and thought-provoking account of her personal journey from initial diagnosis with the BRCA2 ‘breast cancer’ gene to the toughest, and possibly bravest, decision of her life to remove her perfectly healthy breasts.
In a family ravaged by breast cancer for the last four generations, Veronica and her two sisters who also have the BRCA2 gene, hope that by sharing their story, they can provide a little information and personal insight into what is a confusing and confronting, yet potentially life saving, discovery, and help others find their own way.
We hope that through the sale of Pieces of me that all those touched by Breast Cancer and in need of assistance, support will in some way benefit from the funds raised.
