I figured I'd let you folks know why my opinions about being here are mostly negative....
First - Autoplay. Autoplay music, videos, etc... should be banned from the Internet. There is nothing worse than happily surfing along and suddenly being bombarded with somebody else's crappy taste in music. This should be a crime. Put your music on there, that's fine.... but give me the option to turn it on, don't make me search to turn it off.
Next - Blinkies, Glitter tags, moving crap everywhere... Do you really think it's cool to have a page that looks like a bad cartoon character on acid threw up all over it? This isn't as bad as autoplay, but the visual assault can cause just as much of a reaction to hurry up and hit the little 'X' up on top...
Emo people - OK... you are miserable. We get it. You want to make sure you don't conform... and you show us that by putting on the official conforming Emo uniform.... Yeah yeah yeah... whatever. I wish my yard was Emo- Then it could cut itself.
Spam- I get requests from slutty women who think I'm hot (apparently after seeing a picture of just my feet) and think my profile screams out that I'm some kind of strange perv that wants to see nekkid pictures of them. Do I need this? I have a theory that there is a guy out there in his late 50's, sitting around his aprtment in his stained underwear doing nothing but posting spam to people's myspace accounts trying to lure you to his pay for porn website... Go away people!
Lack of meaningful interaction - Quick stupid comments seem to be the order of the day here... Hey... let me post this picture of nothing in your comments.... That'll make your day, won't it?
Half the time, nothing works. You try to go somewhere, and an unexpected error occurs. You view somebody's site and you get errors... errors errors errors..... But when it is working, people have overloaded their sites so much with things mentioned above that it takes 10 minutes on a DS3 connection for their page to fully load... Some days it reminds me of being on dial-up and seeing all the bad Geocities pages people were creating.
Oh well.... I'm sick of bitching... I'm here... I'm experimenting.... We'll see how long I can handle it....
