When Jesus walked the earth 2000 years ago he met people exactly where they were. To the farmer He spoke of farming, to the fisherman He spoke of fishing. In fact, Jesus preached far more in the marketplace than He did the temple.

Jesus reached into people's everyday lives. He met them at their interest, then after establishing a relationship with them, He would share the truth with them and their life would be changed forever!

We can read of the apostle Paul in Acts chapter 17, while in Athens, he came across an alter to the unknown God. Paul met these people there (at their interest) and many were saved! Which God was glorified in the end? The TRUE God! Paul later reflected in 1st Corinthians 9:19-23,

For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more; and to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might win those who are under the law; to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law; to the weak I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. Now this I do for the gospel's sake, that I may be partaker of it with you.

Why is it that many people today place a burden on people to be like them before they may even enter the Church door? Should we not make every attempt (as Jesus and Paul both did) to reach this young generation right where they are?

At Living Stones we strive to meet people as Jesus would. We have a vision to see lives saved in this younger generation. Therefore we share their interests and communicate on their level just as we believe Jesus would! We believe if Jesus were walking the earth today and trying to reach this Generation. This requires us to leave our comfort zone sometimes, but wouldn't it worth it if even one person could be saved? As examples of Jesus today we reach out to all people in all ways with ONE gospel. That Gospel is...

John 3:16-18

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

God Bless!
