OK, I confess it. I am a monster multi-tasker. I drive with wet nails. I listen to my ipod while I curl my hair. My leftovers have leftovers. So it is no wonder that I am over-the-top in love with the RePurposed stuff coming in to the store. Like our tee shirt scarves made out of- you guessed it- tee shirts! Or the jewelry made out of old records. Or the belt made out of a seat belt- originality is back and it is giving traditional retail stores a run for their money!
This recession has punched many people in the gut, we see it every day. But that silver lining is made out of something that has been RePurposed, I guarantee it!
The economic climate has changed perspectives in a lot of positive ways as well. People are still spending money, but paying more attention to their choices. Vacations go old school, like camping or visiting family. And consignment has always had a following- it's just in this type of economic climate, it gets a boost. For example, check us out in the Oakdale Leader tomorrow! We work very hard to promote your items in the most cost-efficient way possible, so we are very appreciative to the Leader for thinking of us when doing a story on resale.
On to call-outs! Costumes are already selling really well, so get yours down to the store for maximum exposure. Career wear also continues to be a strong seller, as does menswear & juniors.
And remember to tell a friend to stop at TAGS first! When they know to shop with us, you are more likely to sell your things because then they tell a friend, who then tells a friend, etc. We cannot stress enough how symbiotic the consignor/store relationship is. We only win if you do! If everyone forwards this email to just 1 friend, we'll have doubled the exposure your current items in the store will get!
