Hi future electronic music students!

A new section is now open: Tues/Thurs 12:30PM - 2:05PM

Monday evening class is full, as is Tues/Thurs 3:00PM - 4:40PM. There won't be a Saturday class this semester.

We have a new and improved classroom! Take a look, then get registered for this Fall!!

These are 3 credit courses at $65(?) per credit, plus $100 lab fee (you can come in throughout the week to work on your music!), so the class is around $295. I promise you will really enjoy these classes! 

MTC191 Electronic Music I
An introduction to electronic music. No previous experience required! The bulk of the class will be writing your own electronic music compositions. Topics include MIDI and sequencing, digital audio, analog synthesis, sound and waveforms and electronic music history. Software includes Digital Performer, Reason, Pro Tools and the Komplete package of soft synths. Analog and digital hardware synthesizers, a Drum Kat, a PS2 MIDI controller and other fun stuff are all available for you to use as well.

MTC192 Electronic Music II
Continued study of the production of electronic music. Prerequisite: MTC191. Further emphasis on MIDI and digital audio techniques, subtractive synthesis design, and mixing. This advanced course is very individualized and self paced with no written exams. Software includes Digital Performer, Reason, Pro Tools and various soft synths. Analog and digital hardware synthesizers, a Drum Kat, a PS2 MIDI controller and other fun stuff are all available for you to use as well.
