PEELANDER - Z

PEELANDER-Z, the Japanese Action Comic Punk Band, was formed by Peelander-Yellow, Peelander-Blue, and Peelander-Red (claim they are from Z area in the Planet Peelander!!) in 1998, and came into action based in NYC.
These three dress up in color-coordinated costumes about as if they came out of Japanese Animation (claim those are not costumes, but the skin!!!) put on a fun entertainment. Yes, their performance is not just playing music. Have you heard of human bowling, wrestling and kung-fu action, or funny dance at the punk rock shows? Peelander-Z knows how to entertain the audience by dragging them into the show. One experience would capture you!! Peelander-Z is the best of the universe!
Peelander-Z has been appearing not only on the major music festivals like Bonnaroo Music Festival, CMJ and SXSW, but also on the TV programs like Best Week Ever on VH1, Upright Citizens Brigade on Comedy Central and MXC: Most Extreme Challenge on Spike TV, and on Anime Network. They have played with many national bands, such as Buckethead, Electric Six, Particles, and more. Also they’ve performed at many other major Anime conventions and the festivals all over the US.

POWERGLOVE

Powerglove is an instrumental power metal band from Arlington, Massachusetts. They refer to their music as "video game metal", as all of their music is based off of one video game or a series of video games. The band is named for the Power Glove, a NES controller accessory. To date, they have released one album, Metal Kombat for the Mortal Man, and one EP, "Total Pwnage". Powerglove has also performed at various video game shows. The band is not signed to any record label, and does not record in a professional studio. Instead, they record their music in various locations and mix them in a home studio.

WILD ZERO

Wild Zero is like an old car that still works perfectly. Like the driver’s seat that never fails to remember your body’s contour, the worn-in, leathery vocals make a comfortable home among a body of electric guitar riffs, dirty bass lines, and unrelenting drums.
Damien’s heavy percussion and Dennis Carver’s speedy guitar work in "Love Eraser" make for a jerky ride, chalk-full of green lights and rolled-down windows. Lyrics like "I’ve got a love eraser, and I’m gonna win...’cause I love erasing," solidify the gratifying lead foot attitude tat Wild Zero so successfully injects into every song, And speed demons beware — the pulsating cadre of instruments in "Hike for Beer" will exhilarate you the same way that peeling out of your high school parking lot did back when you were rollin’ in the Ford Escort. Listen with Caution. The jury’s still put on which hits harder — the high-impact vocals or the pungent electric guitar. Although most songs are between two and three minutes, each one is soaked in vitality.
The band, who names Kiss and AC/DC as influences, say they sound like "hospital birthday parties and a wailing child," just might actually sound more like an engine that’s humming all the right vibrations. It makes a lot of noise, but the sounds are just necessary for the whole thing to work. It might bump, grind, and tick a little bit when you’re on the highway, but the clatter and clang symphony is what makes the machine more than just a vehicle.— The Northeast Performer

THE ASTHMATICS

New England has given the punk world many of it’s essentials such as Dropkick Murphys, The Queers and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. But has also kept one of the best underground and unsigned communities in the nation. So many great bands have emurged from these roots, of Boston dive-bars, Granite State VFW halls, small clubs and coffee shops. Who will be the next band to hold this tradition but still break through the same old-same old? In my opinion it’s a snide lyrical, fist pumping garage band from New Hampshire: The Asthmatics!
